Senior Quantity Surveyor – Cambridge (site based) Kentish Town (HQ)

A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Utility Surveyor

- Undertaking of high-quality utility surveys in a variety of environments using the latest EM and GPR technologies and equipment available.
- Site visits and client meetings to assist in job quotations and tendering stage of larger projects.
- Advising projects in the wider business on best survey methods to meet project requirements.
- Handling, processing, and interpreting geospatial data within the sub-surface environment
- Supporting other team members and survey specialisms of the Geomatics team as and when required.

Position Summary:

The Senior Real Estate Specialist is a member of Real Estate Administration & Development team responsible for managing and administering Nordstrom’s entire portfolio (retail, warehouses, storages, distribution/fulfillment centers, and offices) reporting key data and critical dates, maintaining the system of record, abstracting leases and developing business relationships with local store teams, regional teams, property managers and landlords. Key Responsibilities:

• Process and distribute all real estate documents via asset management software system.
• Maintain/File hard copies of all important documents for record in Real Estate’s storeroom.
• Distribute all notices received in Real Estate to appropriate internal teams.
• Build and distribute specific reports created via Lucernex to different internal teams.
• Provide accurate interpretation of lease terms to internal cross-functional partners or teams.
• Assist with all incoming property management/maintenance issues, questions, and requests.
• Assist Real Estate Manager with the collection of allowances, security deposits, and reimbursements timely.
• Draft lease summaries and distribute to Store and Regional Facilities Teams.
• Assist Real Estate Manager to prepare general correspondence and other legal documents such as allowance/reimbursement request letters, estoppels, simple amendments, short-term storage agreements, license agreements, demand/default letters and lease renewal options letters, etc.
• Distribute correspondence related to account statements, utility statements, ad-hoc statements, insurance requests and Opex/Tax reconciliations.

• Lead project close out of project; including turnover of manuals and warranties and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner, engineering and design firms

• Establish a deadline and monitor the progress of the project

• Drive a culture of safety on the project site

• Support the company’s acquisition of new work by participating in proposals and presentations

Basic Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline or relevant work experience

• 10+ years of construction experience required; working for a general contractor on large scale construction projects is highly preferred. 

• 6+ years leading, developing and motivating teams on healthcare projects

• Understanding of the strategic, operational and financial components of a construction project

• Ability to make timely and effective decisions

• Experience managing healthcare projects successfully from start to finish

• Skilled at developing and negotiating relationships with owners and trade contractors

• Strong work ethic, leadership and the ability to work in a fast paced environment

Clark Construction Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the Chief Financial Officer. The successful candidate will have at least five years of relevant experience, a track record of strong performance, as well as be highly organized, professional, and proactive. He/she will have an Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities:

· Provide operational, logistical, and administrative support to an executive, acting as a thoughtful and collaborative partner to help advance executive and departmental goals

· Understand and support the executive priorities and effective time allocation by managing the calendar of appointments, booking and maintaining travel itineraries, and coordinating related arrangements

· Exhibit a high level of client focus, serving as a courteous and professional point of contact and a positive representative of both the executive and the company

· Help plan and prepare for both internal and external meetings and calls, including preparing background information as well as draft agendas, pre-read materials, presentations, or other materials; help track meeting notes and action items to ensure appropriate follow-through and accountability

· Draft correspondence or other communications to support timely follow-up on requests or priorities

· Manage and monitor departmental budgets, review monthly spending reports, forecast future spending, and prepare and process executive expense reports;

· Help manage executive and department workflow and processes, including identifying and implementing opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness

· Coordinate special projects that support department and company priorities

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform other duties as the business or executive priorities dictate.

Qualifications:

· Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree in a related field

· Five+ years of relevant experience, including supporting senior executives

· Demonstrated ability to think and act proactively to anticipate the needs of executives

· Strong planning and organizational skills, as evidenced by successful project and process management as well as the ability to track and manage various requests, action items, and other priorities

· Attention to detail and the ability to develop documents, plans, or presentations that are complete, concise, and accurate

· Ability to analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative information, and to identify relevant issues

· High level of professionalism, client focus, diplomacy, and ease when interacting with various internal and external stakeholders, including company executives, clients, partners, business leaders, public officials, and community leaders

· Flexibility and willingness to provide support to other projects and/or parts of the company

· Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities

· Must be advanced in Microsoft Office applications

· Ability to work overtime if/when needed to meet business requirements.
