FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their Commercial Team.

Senior Quantity Surveyor role:
• Responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Senior Quantity Surveyor responsibilities:
• Ensure the successful delivery of construction projects by managing costs, resources, and contracts. Liaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control cost.
• Manage the main contract ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified
and raised as necessary.
• Develop project cost and value reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Contribute to the mentorship and development of junior commercial staff.
• Continuously develop your professional skills by actively participating in external networking events, conferences, associations and perform additional duties, training, or work hours as needed.
• Represent the department professionally in all interactions, both internal and external, fostering positive and mutually beneficial relationships.
• Implement measures to maintain strict confidentiality.
Senior Quantity Surveyor requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
• Working towards or has achieved chartered membership of a recognized professional body
• Proven experience in the utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control) sectors.
• Proven experience with NEC3 contracts
• Proven experience in managing and developing individuals or small teams (desirable)
