An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join FM Conway’s successful Term Maintenance division working on a brand-new project in Brighton and Hove. As our Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take the lead in managing all commercial activities and oversee every phase of the project lifecycle. This is a permanent, full-time position based on-site in Brighton and Hove, offering you the chance to shape a transformative project in one of the UK's most dynamic coastal cities.
The duties of the Senior Quantity Surveyor role will include:
- Undertaking cost value analysis for all aspects of the works carried out under the contract
- Performing risk, value management and cost control activities to benefit the contract
- Leading and driving the procurement strategy including cost value analysis and procurement of sub-contractors
- Maintaining awareness of different contracts in current use, ensuring all current legislations and document control is adhered to
- Monitoring and reporting forecast against cost and value and the management of cashflow
- Providing contractual advice and support to the project and site team
What skills and experience do you need?
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Quantity Surveyor with proven experience in the construction or highways industry. You should hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification and you will have a strong understanding of JCT, ICE, and NEC contracts. A valid CSCS card is required for this role.
