Your new role
Working on the major highways improvement scheme in the Norfolk region, they require a Construction Manager to effectively and professionally monitor and supervise site works including subcontract packages. Delivered in accordance with company procedures, programme requirements and project specifications.
Some of the duties involved (but not limited to):
- Ensure the delivery team understand the contract programme requirements, at the appropriate level of detail, and are actively working to deliver this programme.
- Challenge to delivery team to develop and deliver a robust short term plan which aligns to the contract programme
- Communicate the delivery requirements for the upcoming 3-6 months to your Agents/Sub Agents to allow them to begin detailed planning of the works
- Produce cost forecasts for your area of responsibility, and report monthly on any variance in spend from the forecast profile
- Review subcontract tender returns to assess alignment of the scope and tendered price
- Write and review Subcontract scopes of works as part of the tender process
- Ensure subcontract scopes are being delivered, and package managers are adequately supported to achieve success in their package
- Support the commercial team and Package Manager with assessment of subcontractor applications and compensation events
What you'll need to succeed
- Managers CSCS card and other relevant qualifications including SMSTS
- Suitable experience as a Construction Manager on similar size and type of build projects.
- Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts. Ideally, ECC NEC4.
