An opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Residential Property Lawyer with management experience to join a leading regional firm in their Southampton office.

The Conveyancing team works closely with other departments within the firm in particular the Private Wealth team who generate referrals from their HNW clients and the wider Real Estate department. The residential property team itself has over 50 employees at various levels of seniority from secretaries and assistants through to Partners and everything in between..

This role is seen as a crucial strategic move in the ongoing development of the department and will see you support and offer technical guidance to the team, supervising junior lawyers, and sharing work across the region. You will be handling a variety of high-net-worth transactions including agricultural estates and heritage properties together with typical freehold and leasehold properties and site developments. Another key element of the position is business development.

About You
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Motor Vehicle & Construction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the motor vehicle industry or a related discipline, coupled with proven leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional educational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee curriculum management, resource & financial management, and quality improvement within the Motor Vehicle and Construction department.
• Drive student access and progression by providing effective teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
• Lead and manage staff within the department, ensuring performance aligns with college objectives.
• Plan and organise courses and activities within the area, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Monitor student progress to improve success rates, while maintaining quality assurance.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to meet the needs of students and enhance the learning experience.
• Act as a champion of College Core Values, fostering a culture of excellence, diversity, and equality.

Essential Criteria

• Full Level 4 qualification within the motor vehicle industry (or related discipline), or willingness to obtain this qualification while in post.
• Teaching qualification, with experience in the management and delivery of engineering qualifications.
• Clear understanding of the Motor Vehicle sector industry needs and strategies to meet required skills.
• Track record of curriculum development and sustaining above benchmark success rates.
• Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

Probate Estate Manager
£30,800-£38,500 plus excellent benefits (Work Level 6A)
We're now working in a hybrid way, with colleagues dividing their time between home and at least one day a week at any of our offices in Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, or Stratford upon Avon.

We're looking for an associate probate estate manager to join our market leading probate team, making a real difference to peoples lives at a time when they need us most.
