- Provides assistance to DoD, Federal Agencies and authorized donor customers in screening and selecting property for reutilization.
- Performs a variety of property disposal, control and advisory activities such as advising on the destruction, demilitarization or abandonment of property
- Recognizes demilitarization property and its applicable requirements.
- Ensures that the contractor completes all work on the task order.
- Notifies the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) if performance is not proceeding satisfactorily or if problems are anticipated and recommends remedial action.
- Ensures sales/referrals are in accordance with good merchandising practices and regulatory requirements
- Resolves a variety of conventional problems and situations in carrying out all phases of the disposal of excess and surplus government property.
- Responsible for accountable records, adjustments, inventory corrections, and monitors the record status of inventory.
- Ensures proper handling, storage and accountability of excess or surplus property to prevent damage, loss, or personal injury.
- Assists in the coordination, training and other aspects of the property disposal function.
