Job Purpose

Principle Accountabilities

• Implement processes concerning legal acquisition and planning consents for new freehold or leasehold operational property, deeds of grant, assets held on wayleaves and ensuring our Contractors are aware of and follow such processes;
• Work with UK Power Networks' legal team, providing general legal and practical advice regarding the conveyance, leasing and subletting of operational property;

Qualifications

• MRICS or AssocRICS, MRTPI, MIEEM & CEcol and industry experience. With a high level of technical understanding concerning the legal aspects of operational property and consents management expected for Band E. Experience and working toward formal designations expected for Band F.
• High level of business, commercial, environmental, safety, financial and regulatory awareness.
• Competence and experience resolving Consents issues and in providing technical advice to Planning, Connections, Programme Delivery staff and Contractors.

• High level of business, environmental, safety, financial and regulatory awareness;

• Reporting to the Property & Consents Asset Management Consents Manager the Property & Consents Surveyor oversees the legal acquisition and protection, and where appropriate, disposal and subletting of operational property freeholds and leaseholds, permanent easements, wayleaves and the payment of rent and compensation on all Asset Management.
• Further responsibilities include project managing a team of contractors. The role holder offers guidance on policy regarding all Property and Consent issues to project managers, internal legal specialists, legal and consent contractors and external clients including legal advisers and other third parties.

The Role
As a Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for the delivery of construction and property related projects across the RSME contract and ensuring the contractor is delivering in accordance with contract specifications.

Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for the site management of allocated construction, property and infastructure related projects.

• Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project.
• Ensuring the contractor is adhering to and maintaining the project specification
• Ensuring statutory and contractual compliance
• Managing stakeholders across the RSME contract to ensure the project is communucation and managed.
• Ensuring HSE, sustainability and company policy compliance are in place at all times

This role is full time, 37 hours per week with a hybrid working arrangement

Essential experience of the Project Manager

• Extensive technical expertise and experience in a comparable role gained in a similar environment, consultancy, or end user client
• Experience in project management related discipline demonstrating strong leadership skills
• Experience of successful delivery of building services and contruction related projects.
• Ideally working knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts, in particular JCT 2016 ICD

Qualifications for the Project Manager:

• Construction project management degree or similar comparable qualification
• Hold a SMSTS or NEBOSH qualification

We want to find a self-starter with residential surveying and customer service experience who likes to work in a fast-paced world where they can take responsibility and get things done and who has:


Experience as a practising surveyor
RICS membership (either AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS)
Currently VRS registered or meets the criteria for VRS as a sponsored member
Technical expertise in residential surveying
Experience of providing terrific customer service in a client facing role
Exceptional timekeeping never late and always on top of deadlines
The communication skills to write clearly and speak easily with anyone
An organised way of working
Eligibility to work in the UK and everything it takes to successfully complete preemployment screening

We require a Site Labourer for a Civil Engineering project on the outskirts of Maidstone. You will be experienced in construction site work, ideally in a civils environment and will be working closely with the site team undertaking general labouring duties, these include:
