About You

At college, you will study the Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship standard at Level 2 by attending Lincoln College or similar provider one day a week, alongside learning and working with experienced operatives during the rest of the week. 
On successful completion of the Property Maintenance Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship, you will be able to apply for any related job vacancies within PPC. If you gain permanent employment with PPC you will continue to be supported in your learning and development. Your new role
As one of the stakeholders within the Anglian Water framework, they provide both design and construction services across the whole of Anglian Water's region, which is the largest by geographic area in the UK, stretching across Lincolnshire and East Anglia. • Accurate live forecasting taking into account the programme and reporting in accordance with the respective work breakdown structure / cost breakdown structure.
• Actual costs are monitored and assessed against baseline, value of work done, solution cost progress, affordability challenges and final outturn calculations, reporting either weekly or otherwise as agreed with the Commercial Manager.
• Provide reports on actual costs vs. estimate & identifying underlying reasons for any variance & resolutions, in particular highlight, challenge & resolve variance to latest plans.
• Work with the delivery team to assist with project and programme risk mitigation plans are considered, put in place and administered.
• Ensure that the Framework Contract is properly administered, including timely issue of early warnings.
• Any inadmissible costs are not included within the project/programme of project costs.
• Final accounts are prepared timely and accurately.

Quantity Surveyor Job, To be based in Lincoln Salary circa £47000 per annum + Car Allowance + Package
Your new company

A Repairs and Maintenance contractor based in Lincoln are looking for an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their team due a series of new contracts won across the Lincolnshire region.
Your new role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to repairs and maintenance projects. You will work closely with the project team to ensure accurate cost estimation, budget control, and timely delivery of projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:
Preparing cost estimates and budgets for projects
Schedule of rates
Conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments
Procuring materials and subcontractors
Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations
Managing variations and claims
Providing regular reports to the project manager and senior management team
What you'll need to succeed

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
