Company client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a 12-month contract basis for a leading UK construction and regeneration group. This position, potentially extended, entails onsite work in Dalry, with a minimum of 3 days per week. The role falls under Inside of IR35 regulations.
The successful candidate will be tasked with managing construction packages and administering contracts. Additionally, they will be required to visit the client's Motherwell office to collect IT equipment upon starting.
As a Procurement & Contract Manager onsite with a key client, you will oversee the procurement and contract administration function, involving supply chain development, strategy, tendering, evaluation, negotiation, and contract management. Experience in regulated process sectors is advantageous. Familiarity with standard Forms of Contract (NEC4) is essential.
Key Objectives:
* Administer the procurement process for equipment, contracts, subcontracts, and services.
* Collaborate closely with project teams and customers to ensure service delivery meets requirements.
* Assist in reviewing main contracts and providing advice to project teams.
* Administer contracts, including payments, variations, expediting, and forecasting.
* Provide Cost and Commercial reporting.
Requirements:
* NEC4 contracts experience is required.
* Extensive experience as a procurement/contracts manager in construction or related industries is necessary.
* EPCM experience is highly preferable.
Qualifications:
* Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors with relevant experience is preferable.
