Randstad are looking for a Project Surveyor to across various sites in the North East to carry out quality checks. The right candidate must have experience in this role or similar, and hold a valid UK Driving Licence and CSCS card.

Rate: £25.47 per hour umbrella (PAYE also available)

Job Description and Person Specification

• Ensure all required certification and quality control documentation is complete and received from the appointed Principal Contractor prior to carrying out a final inspection, challenging issues with handover packs where appropriate
• Ensure positive Customer engagement during inspections and resolve any issues raised or observed during visits.
• Deputise for the Project Manager when necessary.

Requirements

• Demonstrable knowledge of building construction, building standards, compliance obligations, planning regulations, regulatory standards, and leasehold legislation
• Demonstrable knowledge of the CDM requirements and awareness of the Building Safety Act
• Demonstrate a good understanding of construction technology and building defects.
• Knowledge of construction and the repairs associated with all types of domestic dwellings
• A working and up to date knowledge of Building Regulations and statutory approvals
• A good understanding of the Decent Homes standard including HHSRS.
• IT skills particularly experience with Microsoft systems Word, Excel, and Teams along with housing Asset Management Systems, database, and portals
• Experience in undertaking work in progress and post inspections of work, ensuring compliance with specification, scope, and regulations.
• Experience of supporting design preparation, specification, and contract documents for large projects
• Experience of supporting the effective management of specialist surveys required to maintain or
• Experienced in supporting the management of quality assurance and quality control of on-going and completed works.

This is a full time, hybrid, permanent role offering £40,000 per year.

The purpose of the role is to provide a Quantity Surveying / Employer's Agent services across a range of projects delivered by Identity Consult and be responsible for all aspects of service delivery from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Act as lead Consultant under supervision of a Senior Consultant or above, in the delivery of projects both pre and post-contract across a number of sectors relevant to the individual;
• Undertake all aspects of financial management of projects;
• Preparation of appointments and contracts for commissions;
