EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Network - Intern in our Hughes Network Division. This position will be located at our headquarters in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, troubleshoot and manage routing and switching of Enterprise Customers’ satellite and terrestrial networks.
• Ensure the secure transmission of network traffic through network nodes.
• Enable new features in networking devices and implement network systems improvements to enhance network performance and reliability.
• Configure and support Enterprise Customers' routers and switches with networking protocols to ensure seamless communication among network devices.
• Work on Windows and Linux servers to troubleshoot network issues and to analyze network performance.
• Perform firmware upgrades on networking devices for bug fixes and enhancements.

Basic Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3.0 GPA or above.
• 60 credit hours or more by start of internship, June 2024

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience or coursework in an of the following: TCP/IP; LAN/WAN; Switching and Routing Protocols; Linux; Networking Technologies; Scripting; Python; Data Analysis.

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Service Management Intern in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our office in Gaithersburg, MD.

Responsibilities

• Assist with working through network data processing, and reconciliation.
• Help with reconciling telecom system data.
• Will work with Network access providers, and reconciling data using routines and automation.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or Data Science.
• 3.0 GPA or above
• 60 credit hours or more by start of internship, June 2024
