Working pattern: Tuesday - Saturday 6:00am to 2:30pm, This role will also include working in our in store bakery.

Job Description

Meet the care and support needs of service users and enable them to progress
towards maximum independence through group and one-to-one work in day
services, projects, community and home settings.

We are a Day Service for Adults with Learning Disabilities this s a relief post to cover as and when required .The working hours would be between 07.30 until 16.30. depending on where you are working. We are based at Crimond hub but you could be asked to work at any of our bases and projects, Buchan Day Opportunities at Robertson Road Resource Centre, Aden Shop and Woodcraft at Aden.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.  Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Care Assistant – Flitwick Care Home, Flitwick, Bedfordshire MK45 - Part of the Country Court Family
Hours- 33 Hours per week, working weekends on rota (Hours 0800-2000)
Flitwick Care Home offers specialist residential, and dementia care across 3 floors comprising of 75 rooms. Luxury facilities include a cinema, library, hair salon, treatment room and gym as well as access to beautiful landscaped gardens.

ABOUT THE CARE ASSISTANT ROLE
Within the Care Assistant role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:

Helping our residents with personal support and care
Aiding their emotional well-being and social needs
Serving meals/drinks and assisted feeding
Interacting with our residents on a personal level
Maintaining and developing the residents care plan to ensure their needs are met

ABOUT YOU
Our fantastic staff are at the heart of our homes & provide vital day-to-day support to our residents, so we would love to hear from those who really do want to make a difference to people’s lives.

Be no stranger to working long shifts
Have good written & verbal communication skills
Able to engage well with the residents and their families
Have an understanding of people with Dementia.
Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred but not essential
Have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care or be willing to work towards this.
