At our specialist service in Perranporth, we support adults with learning disabilities/ Autism who may exhibit behaviours that can challenge. Tarrant House is a Residential Care Home consisting of seven rooms within the main house, which have been tailored to suit each person’s individual personality and needs.
What you’ll be doing:
• Assist in managing the care of the people that live with us, monitoring the quality and delivery of the service.
• Developing and implementing person centred care plans.
• Lead by example, motivate and develop the team to deliver a high-quality provision.
• Mentoring and training team members.
• Supporting management with the overall running on the service.
• Taking on administrative roles such as audits, reviewing risk assessments and support plans.
• Promoting independence with the people we support with all aspects of personal care, cooking, cleaning, key working and general life skills.
• Ensuring proactive, flexible, positive and caring support is provided to adults living in our service.
• Working effectively as part of a team and with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Who you are:
• An existing Senior Support worker or an experienced Support Worker looking to progress.
• Flexible with a can-do attitude.
• A motivated and passionate individual that can make a difference to the lives of the people we support.
• An NVQ level 3 or equivalent in health and social care is desirable but not essential.
• A valid driving license is not essential, but due to the location and nature of the service, Drivers are preferred.

What skills and experience we're looking for

To act as the first point of contact for all school visitors and callers. To welcome visitors, and direct as appropriate, and to manage all telephone calls and queries, re-directing as appropriate. To work with the PFI Contractor to ensure day to day premises issues are logged and dealt with to meet PFI output specifications.

This position is 37 hours per week 40.4 working weeks including term time plus INSET and 1 week in school holiday period.
