Responsibilities:

- Adopt a Carer-first approach in all that you do, continually looking to improve how we administer and deliver care in our communities.

- Oversee the creation of individualised, person-centred support packages that work towards meeting identified outcomes with the service users, their carer's and the purchasing authority.

- Take an active role in reviewing and amending service packages in partnership with branch staff and central teams.

- We regularly evaluate service goals and quality objectives and need our Registered Managers to undertake this and deliver actions for areas identified as requiring improvement.

- Accurate and legible records are key to help us monitor our support for our service users but also to meet our regulatory requirements. You will be regularly auditing our records and files to make sure they meet standards.

- Whilst our people and service users are our most important focus you will also be responsible for overseeing the implementation and monitoring of Cera policies and procedures as well as taking action where individuals do not adhere to these.

- Ensure compliance with statutory and Cera requirements on all reportable areas within the service provision.

- Maintain the operations of Cera at the standard agreed with the Regional Director and Quality & Compliance team, within the financial budget or other parameters set.

- Partner with Finance and Operations colleagues to measure weekly expenditure to ensure budget is maintained.

- Develop and maintain effective working relationships, particularly with our Business Development teams and Local Authorities so we can acquire new contracts and support packages.

- Commit to join and actively participate in the Skills for Care Managers Network to help to further develop our profile within the industry.

- Plan and attend regular meetings with all stakeholders to keep abreast of views, developments, opportunities and expectations.

What we're looking for:

- Previous experience working in a regulated care environment is a must.

- RQF Diploma level 5 Health and Social Care would be desirable but not essential.

- Someone compliant with the knowledge of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.

- A leader, someone comfortable leading a team and overseeing budgets.

- Knowledge of leading a team and working within a multi-disciplinary environment.

- Previous experience of working as a manager within a domiciliary setting.

Team Manager for Health and Social Care

Joint Emergency Team (Integrated Rapid Response Team)

Band 8A Permanent

37.5 hours per week

This is an integrated role working across both health and social care which is jointly funded by the Royal Borough of Greenwich and Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust and is accountable to both organisations.

The Joint Emergency Team (JET) provides nursing, therapy, medical and social care crisis intervention, incorporating the 2-hour urgent community response (including the falls pick up service) and a virtual ward pathway supporting adults to remain in their home and avoid admission to hospital or care homes.

The team operates 365 days per year 08.00 to 20.30 receiving referrals from a range of health, social care professionals and triages, assesses, and delivers treatment and intervention to ensure the client / patient can remain safely in their own home.

The post holder will be responsible for the leadership management and development of the Joint Emergency Team as well as the Royal Borough of Greenwich out of hours service.





The post holder will be required to provide leadership and coordination of the team which includes the out of hour service of the Royal Borough of Greenwich (RBG) and will have a lead role in supporting the development and delivery of practice standards within the Urgent Community Response Service (UCR), the Falls Pick Up Service and the Virtual Ward. This will include operational leadership to the multidisciplinary team to ensure an integrated model of care is delivered.

The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the team in relation to activity generated by referrals made to the MDT to ensure service outcomes and performance indicators are met.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care within the community setting, working to ensure that effective processes are in place that enable team members to work proactively to manage from patient/resident crisis to promoting self-management and independence across the continuum of care.

The Professional Support Services team within the Office of the Chief Medical Officer at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS foundation trust wishes to appoint a Deputy Manager for the Professional Support Services team, which support and deliver the Revalidation, Job planning and appraisal function of the CMO office. The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service.

The Deputy Manager - Professional Support Services is responsible for managing robust and effective systems and processes to support the deliveryof the suite of professional support and development services delivered by the CMO Office, including medical appraisal, job planning, performance based awards schemes and other workforce related programmes of work.

As a key member of the service delivery team within the office, the post holder will manage a comprehensive and high quality project and service function in line with national policy requirements while continuing to meet the changing needs of the Trust’s medical and dental professionals. Importantly, they will provide critical management support to senior leadership in delivering against external reporting requirements and emerging programmes of work at national and local levels through the interpretation of guidance and the development of aligned processes.



This post holder will work within a multidisciplinary team and will require well developed organisational skills and the ability to handle queries in a sensitive manner. The role requires the exercise of initiative, and will include the deployment of sound judgement, problem solving and process focused skills in order to coordinate and report on a variety of time limited projects linked to the development of new processes.

Service and Project Management

· Responsible for the operational management and coordination of the core professional support and development services delivered across the workforce arm of the Medical Director’s Office, including medical appraisal and revalidation, job planning, and performance based reward schemes.

· To develop, establish and oversee the maintenance of robust and integrated service management and administrative systems and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operation of the services across the Trust.

· To plan and oversee multi-layered service improvement projects in response to performance indicators or changes in national policy or local requirements.

· To design and oversee the production of accurate and high quality reports and information on a regular basis in order to inform the strategic decisions and operational activities of senior management and the clinical workforce alike.

· To devise, adopt and implement any new reporting arrangements required by emerging national policy or local strategic or operational needs.

· To implement and manage agreed quality assurance systems and activities in line with national guidelines and to identify, plan and coordinate appropriate service improvement projects in response to performance across quality assurance metrics.

· To undertake additional research, audit and other project work linked to the managed services as directed by the Operational Delivery Manager.

· To monitorany internal fitness to practise investigation processes in response to GMC requests, including maintaining standards in process and good record keeping in line with GMC and local policy.

· To implement on the behalf of the Responsible Officer and MDO senior management team and lead on specific projects as directed.

Resource Management

· Responsible for the management of the service delivery team, including responsibility for training and development and performance management.

· Provide direction to the internal team to utilise their strengths and attributes to maximum effect to achieve objectives, ensuring they meet expected levels of performance and receive appropriate support and development.

Communications & Relationship Management

· To support the resolution of complex and sensitive issues where escalated by the service administrators, often acting as a mediator and providing expert advice where needed.

· To promote supportive and positive relationships between the internal MDO team and the medical and dental professional body at the Trust, running a service that is client focused and responsive.

· To draft and disseminate appropriate communications across the Trust, informing and engaging clinical and management staff with programme aims, progress and changes, and often dealing with complex and sensitive issues.

· To provide training to medical, dental and management staff across the Trust related to the professional requirements of medical appraisal, revalidation, job planning and performance based awards programmes, and the IT systems and processes in place to support staff in complying with national requirements.

· To provide management leadership in achieving service and programme aims through influence, negotiation and persuasion across diverse groups of clinicians, especially where colleagues are facing competing priorities in achieving professional regulatory requirements.

· Draft appropriate material for the MDO pages of the Trust intranet site and manage the team of administrators to ensure these pages remain up to date and relevant.
