The Centre
This gorgeous, EXCEEDING and not-for-profit, 70 place service in St. Leonards is seeking an ECT qualified Centre Director to join their service to help guide and lead an established team of educators.
The centre follows an inquiry-based approach where children are encouraged to explore and guide their own learning. The service also believes in collaborating with families and the local community to ensure the children are provided with the highest quality education possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills who is ready and excited to help build and grow alongside a service.
As the Centre Director some of your responsibilities will include being responsible for the daily management and administration of the service, motivating, supporting and working in partnership with the team of educators, driving them to excel as they deliver care and educational programs to children and creating and maintaining a positive learning environment for children, connecting with their families and the local community.
The centre is open from Monday to Friday, from 7:30am - 6:00pm and is easily accessible via public transport - being a less than 10 minute walk from St. Leonards train station.
The Role
As Centre Director of the service some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Being responsible for the daily management and administration of the service
Motivating, supporting and working in partnership with the Assistant Director, Educational Leader and all educators, driving them to excel as they deliver care and educational programs to children
Liaising with families during tours and enrollments
Overseeing the centre curriculum based on the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework
Driving quality in practices in line with the National Quality Standards
Mentoring and guiding the service philosophy
Be enthusiastic, positive, productive and conduct oneself in a professional manner

About You
To be successful in this position you must have:
Bachelors in Early Childhood Education (equivalent or higher) qualification OR ACECQA-approved equivalent
Prior experience as a Director
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma Manager
A current Working with Children's Check
Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS and QIP
