You will be responsible for:

• Manages the day-to-day operations of one of the National Maintenance Control Centers (MCC's).
• Supervises the specialists and administrative personnel assigned to the MCC.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a rewarding career as part of our Home Support Service providing a person-centred care approach to individuals living in North Lanarkshire. As a member of the team you will use a reablement approach, working closely alongside individuals and their families, to focus on promoting and maximising independence, self-management and natural resources. You will enable individuals to gain or regain their confidence, ability and necessary skills whilst living in their home environment, encompassing natural supports.

We have opportunities within the Home Assessment Team (HAT) which focusses on getting the right supports in place, in those first days, after service users return home from hospital. We also have opportunities within the wider home support service providing longer term care.

A SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is desirable, successful applicants who don't currently hold this qualification will be supported to achieve this. Due to a review of the staff skill mix and internal staff movement, we are excited to be able to offer a post for a Pharmacy Technician to work across inpatient and community mental health based in Barrow-in-Furness. The role offers the opportunity to work amongst various professionals and be a key member of the multidisciplinary team working across these sectors to support seamless transfer of care. The community team is based at Duddon House and the inpatient unit is Dane Garth in Barrow.

The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with the clinical team, which also includes a Clinical Pharmacist, to address the care needs of patients and service users. The post will also involve close liaison with, patients, carers, primary care, in-patient mental health services and local acute trusts.

There will also be a requirement to ensure safe and effective medicines management processes within the service. This will include compliance with regulatory medicines management standards and implementation of medicines safety alerts. As a valued member of the pharmacy team, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to broader Trust initiatives and priorities. Due to the location of various units, an ability and willingness to travel around Trust locations on occasion may be required.

You should be enthusiastic and self -motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to prioritise own workload. You will provide a high level of pharmaceutical care as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team.
