As a Biological Science Technician your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Participating in multi-faceted wildlife studies, including carrying out a variety of research and survey methods, analyzing established data, and monitoring environmental elements related to conservation, management, and/or control of wildlife.
• Surveying and observing avian populations, looking for abundance, behavior, habitat, sex and age structure, and seasonal movements.

Major duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Supervises all areas of food production and service including food preparation, nourishment, tray delivery and retrieval
• Takes corrective action for any problems that might arise on the floors pertaining to food service
• Receives and inspects deliveries and requisitions all supplies needed in all food service areas

Major Duties:

The Physician will also work as an Attending Physician in Hospice and Palliative Care Program, taking care of Veterans who need hospice and palliative care to improve quality of life for patients who have a serious life limiting or terminal illness focusing on quality of life through relief of symptoms and attending to their emotion and spiritual needs and end of life care.

The Associate Chief of Staff, Geriatrics & Extended Care will be responsible for consults, admissions, discharges, and routine care of the Veterans in these programs. He/she will also help coordinate care with other members of the Interdisciplinary Team and with Specialists inside and outside the VA and provide education on disease process, medications, and care needs to Veterans, families, and staff. Will participate in screening Veterans for CLC admission, both hospice and other treating specialties within CLC.

• Performs routine and recurring techniques and studies using a variety of specialized equipment.
