JOB DESCRIPTION POST- Receptionist/Administration Assistant GRADE- Depending on experience ACCOUNTABLE TO- Practice Manager/Patient Services Manager HOURS- Part Time 23.5 hours per week ROLE- To provide professional clerical support in respect of Patient Services. Telephone System - The post holder will be expected to process incoming and outgoing calls quickly and politely being able to deal with emergency situations in a calm and responsible way. Telephone duties include management of future, on the day and urgent appointments, booking home visits and ambulances, dealing with test results, and answering general queries including speaking to other Health Care professionals. 2. Reception - Computerised System (SystmOne) for up to 30 Health Professionals. Booking future, on the day and urgent appointments. Issuing of repeat prescriptions, including Repeat Dispensing and Electronic Prescribing (EPS) also dealing with patient's prescription queries. Excellent communication skills are essential for meeting and greeting patients with a required friendly approach and dealing with their queries. Responsibility to ensure that Reception and waiting room areas are kept neat and tidy at all times. 3. Filing - We are a paper light practice however there is still some routine filing and paperwork involved. This includes retrieving and refilling medical records, along with patient's prescriptions whilst always ensuring that strict alphabetical order is adhered to. 4. Computer - Basic IT literacy/computer skills are essential although on the job training will be given. Tasks include precise data entry for patient registrations, change of address and accurate coding into patient's medical records. 5. Summarising Summarising patients paper records on to the computer system following strict practice protocols. 6. Health & Safety - To maintain a safe and healthy working environment, within current legislation and Practice Protocol. 7. General - We are a big, busy, and friendly Practice and the effectiveness of our patient care relies heavily on a team effort and an ethos of working together. However, the successful candidate must also have the ability to use their own judgement, resourcefulness and common sense when responding to patient enquiries and requests. The successful candidate must have the ability to work without direct supervision whilst prioritising their own workload. Overview of the Role
I am looking for a full-time Tenancy Support Worker, based in Chesterfield to work with service users who are at risk of homelessness. You will provide support to those who are in need, to try and access the appropriate benefits and help sustain their tenancy.
