Are you looking for an interesting and dynamic role in Criminal Justice that will give you the opportunity to engage and support service users who have a range of varying vulnerabilities and needs. If so, we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and conscientious person to the role of Liaison and Diversion Practitioner (LDP) within Liaison, Diversion and Reconnect (LD&R).

LD&R is a countywide service to Kent and Medway’s Police custody suites, Magistrates, Crown Courts, Prisons and the wider community. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving service with an excellent reputation for service user care and stakeholder engagement.

The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

As an LDP you will be screening, signposting and supporting individuals in Police custody suites, Kent Prisons, identifying health and social vulnerabilities that may be having a negative impact on health and well-being. You will also form part of the LD&R Support, Time, Recovery (STR) function in the community, supporting aftercare for clients who are involved in the criminal justice system.

The Intensive Support Team work in close partnership with the client and family / carers, and other services, such as Social Services, generic Health Services, independent and voluntary services, Advocacy Services and Commissioners. Referrals to the team occurs when current work being undertaken in the supporting services is insufficient to meet the individuals needs and or where behaviour that challenges persist or becomes more serious to the point where a person and/or others are at risk of serious harm and where individuals are at risk of exclusion from ordinary community settings (including admission to hospital). IST will then work alongside teams involved to provide intensive support for a defined period. The Transforming Care agenda is a National driver for the Learning Disability Service; the post holder will ensure the role of the IST provision is integrated and cohesive within the countywide community Learning Disability Service, to provide a seamless pathway for individuals. Field Service Engineer required for a leading supplier of variable speed drives and support services. This is a great opportunity to join an industry specialist who can invest a huge amount of training and development into the successful candidate. They can offer job security and a very competitive OTE.

To apply for this role, you will be an experienced electrical engineer but can come from any industrial background. You will need experience working with large cables and experience reading and interpreting technical drawings.

The successful candidate will be joining a growing team responsible for carrying out pre-planned services, breakdown repairs and planned upgrades at customer sites. You will work within a variety of sectors including manufacturing, energy and water industries.

For one week in four this role will require the successful candidate to be on call 24/7. However, during this week the candidate will be based at home and will be responsible for providing remote technical support and will complete paperwork such as risk assessments.

The Field Service Engineer Role:

· Working with variable speed drives and electric motors

· Carry out service, repair and upgrades

· Typically working within a 1 hour – 1.5 hour radius of home

· Occasional overnight stay

· On call rota – 1 in 4 weeks

· Regular overtime available
