Head of Integrated Commissioning for the County Council and Gloucestershire ICB with responsibility across intermediate care. The person would need to line manage a team of eight commissioners across both organisations and take responsibility for a significant commissioning workload

Work collaboratively within an Integrated Commissioning Management Team and across organisational boundaries to ensure the system’s vision is translated into real services on the ground. Lead on the strategic planning and development of services which support the system flow in Gloucestershire on behalf of Gloucestershire ICB.

Qualifications:

Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in a specialist area.

Knowledge:

Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master’s level equivalent
Must have detailed working knowledge or experience of managing payment flows to providers across the Health & Social Care system for example experience of working with payments processes such as ContrOCC and Caretrack. Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the various statutory bodies such as the DoH and individual provider and commissioning organisations.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills.
Extensive knowledge and experience at a ‘Head of Service Level’ for Integrated Commissioning and working within an integrated Local Authority and ICB partnership and an understanding of the National policy that governs this area.

Salary: £52,265 - £56,050 per annum dependent on experience

About the role:
To lead, manage and be accountable for a large team of 19 wte residential staff, plus 2 ancillary staff, in the delivery of statutory duties to young people. This children's home is unique in that it comprises 8 beds, including 4 semi independent, self-contained flats for young people aged 16+ in preparation for moving onto independence. There is also the potential to continue caring for young people as they reach 18yrs, if they are not yet ready to move into the community. The manager's assessment of this aspect of service delivery will always need to be approved, on an individual basis (and in line with the resident's needs) by Ofsted, the regulator.

Requirements:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care (or nearing completion/able to begin the programme) or an equivalent qualification e.g. Degree in Social Work (or equivalent
• Evidence of continued professional develop
• Full UK driving license
• DBS clearance
