Park Springs

Located on the outskirts of Motherwell, near to the neighbouring town of Bellshill, Park Springs is a 70 bedded care home which provides specialist nursing, residential and dementia care. Short and long-term respite stays can also be catered for to allow home carers to take a much-needed break.
Facilities include spacious lounges and quiet rooms, an on-site hair salon and activities room, and a vintage bar and events room. All areas are wheelchair accessible and en-suite bedrooms are available, along with a choice of bath and shower room facilities. The extensive grounds include attractive gardens to the front and back of the home as well as a secure internal courtyard and patio area. The multi-award-winning activities coordinator at the home provides a full programme of activities, entertainment and events for residents to choose from seven days a week. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a rewarding career as part of our Home Support Service providing a person-centred care approach to individuals living in North Lanarkshire. As a member of the team you will use a reablement approach, working closely alongside individuals and their families, to focus on promoting and maximising independence, self-management and natural resources. You will enable individuals to gain or regain their confidence, ability and necessary skills whilst living in their home environment, encompassing natural supports.

We have opportunities within the Home Assessment Team (HAT) which focusses on getting the right supports in place, in those first days, after service users return home from hospital. We also have opportunities within the wider home support service providing longer term care.

A SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is desirable, successful applicants who don't currently hold this qualification will be supported to achieve this. You should also be motivated and enthusiastic with a pleasant, friendly manner and respectful of the privacy and dignity of individuals. As a good communicator, you must also be able to observe and respond to changes in the health and wellbeing of people in your care, updating and recording individual care plans as appropriate.

Experience of working within a care setting, undertaking moving and assisting is desirable together with some IT skills. A current driving licence is essential for Home Support Workers in the Home Assessment Team. You will support the scheduling system and decisions in relation to the redeployment of Home Support Workers, monitoring service continuity to promote high quality service provision ensuring the needs and preferences of service users are respected. You will manage and effectively utilise resources, monitoring provision capacity and costs. You will provide extensive support, guidance, training and development to your team ensuring quality service delivery through continuous improvement for improved outcomes of staff and service users.

You must have the ability to create and design new performance information and produce analysed data for senior management to help improve service user outcomes. You will also monitor the workload activity levels including the use of telephony technology to maintain service level standards and customer quality care via telephone call monitoring.

Applicants must have excellent IT skills and the ability to audit and analyse data from all systems used for the purposes of service improvement.

To undertake this role effectively, you must be able to demonstrate excellent supervisory, communication, influencing and interpersonal skills. We are looking for organised and resourceful individuals with problem solving skills with a 'can do' approach, able to work well under pressure.

Experience working in a social work or home support related environment is essential. You must have possession of an HNC, SQV Level 3 or equivalent qualification.

We are looking for someone to support service users in the community across Aberdeen City. We are looking for someone who can show empathy, compassion, and understand the needs of vulnerable people. The right person would be someone who can offer high standards of care, be flexible, committed, enthusiastic. Interim Care at Home is a Bon Accord Care service offering short term care and support in our service user’s own homes. We provide person centred care packages and work alongside other professionals to ensure needs are meet through high quality support. Through this co-ordinated care we support to maximise wellbeing, whilst ensuring our service users have control and choice over their care and how it is delivered.

The shift patterns are 07:30 – 13:30 and 16:00 – 22:00. We work on a 2-week rota to meet the needs of the service, where you would be working every second weekend. There is a 33% enhancement rate for working after 20:00 and 40% enhancement rate for working Saturdays and Sundays

Full training and comprehensive induction, PVG Paid, Local Government Pension, Refer a friend bonus scheme, Mileage paid at 45p per mile, Annual leave starting at 28 days plus public holidays pro-rota.

Your new role
Southend-on-Sea City Council are looking for a permanent Social Worker to provide professional and comprehensive casework to a caseload of children and young people within the busy Family Support & Protection Team.This position will be mostly working from home, but you do need to be able to get to the city to complete assessments and join your team on site.

You are required to provide professional and comprehensive casework to a caseload (average of 17 -20) of children and young people within the long-term children's social work teams. Investigate, evaluate and analyse information on cases, demonstrating clarity of assessment, reliability of information, evidence conclusions and realistic action plans.

The quality of practice will be supported by regular supervision; training opportunities, tools and resources are readily available to assist in the day-to-day work.

An exciting opportunity is available within Clydeview Primary School, North Lanarkshire to assist children who have additional support needs.

As an Additional Support Needs Assistant (ASNA) you will work with children, some of whom have needs of a severe or complex nature, to support them in their school environment.
