Opportunity for a a Practice Nurse to work on a Part Time, Locum Contract, Based in Chorley or Wigan!

The role is based within the GP Practice with the role predominantly to provide leadership to the Junior members of the Practice Nursing Team, in collaboration with the Nurse Lead and General Practitioners, to develop an effective, quality driven Practice Nurse Service. You will provide support to children and young people with additional support needs within Westerton Primary school.

You will be responsible for the personal care needs of pupils and under the direction of the class/subject teacher, you will help pupils with specific learning activities and to follow instructions and organise their work. When required you will provide supervision for pupils outwith the classroom for eg in the playground, corridors, dining area, during PE and organised school trips.

Previous experience is preferred for this position although full training will be provided. Please note this role will require you to deliver personal care. Drivers are preferred but this is not essential.
