The Manager, Communication & Partnerships is responsible for implementation of fundraising strategy in accordance with SACA’s goals and values and managing third-party vendors in executing fundraising and donor-engagement activities. Additionally the said Manager is tasked with fostering awareness of ex-offender reintegration in the community through development and implementation of community outreach activities.
Responsibilities
Communication
· Manage and oversee the organisation’s website ensuring the web content is updated
· Develop and ensure appropriate content for publication materials including the annual report, periodic newsletter and any other publication
· Act as key SACA liaison with external organisations/ media/press
· Prepare SACA staff for any external media/press engagement by supporting with key communication content
· Enhance the Association’s online presence and outreach via appropriate social media platforms
Fundraising
· Implement fundraising strategies and campaigns that generates operating revenue
· Develop and maintain deep level of understanding of SACA’s existing programmes, services and revenue streams
· Conduct fundraising events and manage the existing platforms
· Initiate new fundraising events and platforms based on the organisation’s immediate needs
· Maintain fundraising documents including revenue tracking, forms and agreements signed with donors and key contact details
Community Outreach
· Raise awareness of ex-offender reintegration by engaging different segments of community through suitable events and activities
· Look out for opportunities to collaborate with other community organisations via events and activities
· Manage community outreach events and activities
· Ensure events and activities are consistent with SACA’s mission, vision, use of name and event guidelines
Donor Management
· Understand existing donors’ needs and maintain positive relationship with donor in order to sustain or increase level of support
· Identify and source suitable donors whose funding purpose is in alignment with SACA’s programmes and services
· Develop and adapt content of appeals that align with interests of donors
· Communicate and engage donors and ensure they are kept updated on fund expenditure
· Build relationship with individuals, businesses and community organisations advancing SACA’s profile, programmes and services
Vendor Management
· Evaluate third-party vendors in areas of cost competitiveness, alignment to needs and quality of services
· Oversee fundraising activities executed by vendors
· Ensure payment for goods acquired and services engaged is processed on time
· Ensure fundraising activities are compliant with relevant laws and regulations
