New Year, New Job? With 2024 just around the corner, we\'re on the lookout for a Physics teacher to join a secondary school in Worcester from January onwards. This will be a long-term position for 2 terms, starting on the 8th January. Receiving an "OUTSTANDING" in their last OFSTED report, teachers at this school are committed to providing the best standard of teaching. The school has been recognised for creating a calm and focused lesson environment and, as a result, student engagement and attitudes are excellent.
Your new job
As this is a long-term role starting in January 2024, you will be required to:
- Plan and prepare Physics lessons for pupils in KS5
- Complete the marking and assessment of pupils' work, along with being involved with facility and department meetings
- You will deliver these lessons in a positive learning environment, ensuring all pupils are progressing consistently and achieving target grades.
- Have a focus on keeping high expectations of students' attainment and behaviour.
What you\'ll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must:
- Possess QTS or QTLS
- Have experience teaching physics within a secondary school. ECT's with physics placement experience will be considered.
- You will possess excellent behaviour management skills.
- You will be keen to work as part of a team, share ideas and good practice.
- You will be available to start in January and continue on a long-term basis.
