The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Science team to deliver inspiring teaching and learning. The successful candidate
will work as part of an existing team to support the delivery of high-quality science-based courses across the College.
Suitable applicants must possess a relevant Degree or equivalent qualification to at least Level 6, a Teaching Qualification to
the required national standards, a Level 2 qualification in English, Mathematics and ITQ or a willingness to work towards the
qualifications in a timely manner are essential requirements for this role.
Successful applicants will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an FE environment.
Main Duties for this role include:
* To deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.
* To assess accurately learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure
learners achieve their qualifications.
* To support the Centre Principals in promoting and planning high standards of teaching, learning and assessment within the
curriculum area to ensure high levels of learner achievement, satisfaction, progression and high grades outcomes
* To support with the delivery of an agreed set of KPIs
* To support the implementation and tracking of quality improvement activities to support the curriculum area needs
* To support improvement targets for learner attendance across all elements of the study programme.
