We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Research Nurse to join the Research Nursing staff in our developing Research and Innovation delivery team.



As part of the team carrying out clinical procedures, you will contribute to the assessment and management of the care pathways for patients and carers participating in clinical studies. You will undertake recruitment, education and monitoring of trial patients and the collection and documentation of accurate data with focus on increasing the number of patients participating in clinical studies at Mersey are NHS Foundation Trust (the Trust).



Deploying specialist knowledge and previous experience in clinical research, you will form a key part of the Research & Innovation team, contributing to the efficient set up and delivery of research within the Trust.

· Working as part of a MDT to assist in the management of clinical trial patients, maintaining effective communication with patients, carers & professionals to ensure high quality service delivery.

· Managing & overseeing a portfolio of research studies across various disease sites.

· Training & assessing research staff as competent in line with the research competencies framework, acting as a resource & role model for all aspects of research clinical practice to optimise patient care & clinical practice.

· Carry out physical assessments, take blood/urine samples & process according to specific research protocol.

· Provide day to day supervision for band 5 research nurses/ research officers within the research team, with responsible for teaching & delivering core training on competencies within research delivery.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for 4 full-time Band 4 Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioners, to work within our established Mental Health Support Team in Schools, based in Halton, St Helens, Knowsley, and Warrington. We would like to invite applicants from children and young people’s mental health, wellbeing and education/pastoral backgrounds to apply for this opportunity.

The Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioners will work closely with qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners, Senior Practitioners, CBT therapists and other team members, to support young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

To allow the postholder, under supervision and with support, to develop knowledge and practice skills in the following:
• Delivering evidence-based intervention for children and young people in education setting with mild to moderate mental health problems
• Helping children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services

Education mental health practitioners (EMHPs) work across education and healthcare to provide mental health support for children and young people in schools and colleges.



An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) within the Halton Mental Health Support Teams in schools service. In line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the EMHP role is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people.

Successful candidates will be employed on a full-time basis based within Warrington and will play a key role as member of the Warrington Mental Health Support Team. They will have the responsibility for delivering the 3 core functions of an MHST to support the mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing needs for children and young people in allocated schools.



Potential candidates will have already successfully completed the HEE commissioned 1yr 'Education Mental Health Practitioner' course or the 'Children's Wellbeing Practitioner' course. Those currently undertaking the EMHP training will also be considered.
