The Supported Internship trainer provides individualised support for interns during the internship rotation in order for the interns to acquire competitive and marketable skills.

The post holder will be based at Poole College and work within the community with multiple employers. Interns are young adults who have a learning disability and / or autism. Interns are recruited by all three parties over the summer months, in readiness to start the programme in September. This role works to the academic year so is mainly term time.

The successful candidates will work term time only which equates to 41 working weeks. This will offer the successful candidate a good work life balance.

The hours are 33.42 when working during term time and the pro-rata salary equates to £23,825.95. Full time salary £26,734.68

The role will include working from home, travelling to client sites and networking opportunities in your local area.

Duties will include:


Actively prospecting and identifying new business leads.
Researching potential clients and new business opportunities within your region.
Networking with local partners and clients to uncover new business opportunities.
Travelling to meet potential clients and partners to explore new business prospects.
Setting up and leading meetings and presentations to convert potential clients.
Tracking and managing new business opportunities using our CRM system.
Collaborating with the local team to prioritise new business generation and support enrollment targets.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new clients.
Achieving or surpassing monthly new business targets through proactive outreach.
Coordinating with area managers and internal teams to advance new business leads.
Collecting and sharing client feedback and market insights with relevant departments.


About you

We’re seeking proactive, confident individuals with the following skills and experience:


Previous experience in a business development role.
Experience of new business development and lead generation.
Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
A natural problem solver who can take initiative and is self motivated.
Ideally familiar with the further education and apprenticeship sector.

Role Overview

As the Team Leader for the West of England, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of both remote and face-to-face services across projects in the region. This role involves recruiting, training, and managing a hybrid team of Support Workers and Peer Workers to deliver impactful services, ensuring high standards are met, and contributing to the growth of Clean Slate’s programs.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management: Supervise and support a team of Support Workers and Peer Workers, ensuring capacity and well-being across remote and community-based operations.
Project Delivery: Oversee contracts and projects, ensuring service standards, monitoring, and reporting requirements are met.
Staff Development: Lead regular supervisions, training, and performance management, and address issues with HR when necessary.
Safeguarding: Maintain a focus on safeguarding, ensuring staff are trained and policies are followed.
Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for commissioners and providers, ensuring seamless project delivery.
Reporting & Impact: Collect data to demonstrate Clean Slate’s impact, and contribute to financial and impact reports.
Funding & Development: Assist in developing new areas of work, funding proposals, and participate in presentations and networking events.
Deputy Safeguarding Lead: Provide support and oversight in safeguarding when required.

Essential Requirements

Experience in delivering support work.
Experience managing hybrid teams (remote and community-based).
Experience in stakeholder management and delivering projects.

Ability to produce impact reports for funders and stakeholders.

Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
Access to necessary IT and tech tools.

Desirable Skills

Experience in money guidance or employment support.
IAG Level 3 or equivalent.
Ability to communicate in a second language (e.g., Arabic, Bengali, French, Polish).
