• You will be responsible for providing consultation for a wide range of human performance (HP), human performance improvement (HPI), human systems integration (HSI), education, and training policies.
• You will conduct analyses to identify or validate training requirements, using the systems approach to training.
• You will advise and consult Project Managers for training system/device acquisition or modification on matters related to the interpretation of complex training requirements.
• You will conduct effectiveness evaluations to validate training resources utilization, provide cost and training effectiveness recommendations to meet new training requirements, correct deficiencies, and improve effectiveness.

Prepare lesson plans by selecting from and adapting instructor texts, guides, and/or commercial texts or developing a unique plan of instruction (POI) to meet the specific linguistic or pedagogical needs of a group of students when other guidance is unavailable.

Provide instruction to an extremely diverse student body from over 100 countries; students range in age from 18 to over 60 and come from varying cultural and religious backgrounds.

Counsel students and make recommendations for student placement, remedial and enrichment training, based on observation, assessment, and evaluations.

Establish learning environment conducive to adult ESL/EFL/ESP learning and to ESL/EFL teacher training. Provide appropriate physical learning environment by ensuring room is orderly and professional in appearance.

Teach ESL/EFL/ESP from basic elementary to advanced English to include: preparation for graduate level college courses; preparation for U.S. war colleges; over 24 specialty areas such as aviation, medical, explosive ordnance disposal; and both basic instructor development (train-the-trainer) and advanced instructor development and management of ESL courses.

In this position, you will serve as an Intelligence Research Specialist, applying a full range of expert intelligence knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide insights that warn of potential threats and assessments on possible outcomes in regard to national security.

This position starts at a salary of $88,562.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $136,909.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $136,909.00 (GS-13 Step 10).

Major duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Serving as a senior level analyst in the Northeast Regional Intelligence Area of Responsibility.
• Developing or utilizing novel or revised program methods, strategies, producers and techniques for intelligence activities.
• Performing research and analysis to develop and publish intelligence products focusing on all threats in the Northeast Regional Intelligence Center Area of Responsibility.
• Providing guidance to analysts in junior grades and advises higher level officials on complex issues in the Northeast Regional Intelligence Center Area of Responsibility.
• Establishing relationships with field personnel and partner agencies and represents U.S. Customs and Border Protection on working groups in and that impact the Northeast Regional Intelligence Center Area of Responsibility.

Duties include but not limited to the following:

• Troubleshoots problems with Education Training Software and inputs and assigns user access and provides training to users as instructed.
• Runs various reports for VANTHCS offices as requested.
• Coordinates administrative activities for the financial support of staff active at VANTHCS. Coordinates with all services on documentation required by the Nursing Education & Academia in collaboration with Hospital education and Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) for financial support of staff.
• Provides program administrative, and clerical support in Nursing Education & Academia Service as directed, to include answering phone inquiries for Education Service, preparing needs assessments, preparing and assembling various education materials to include binders and surveys as instructed, securing space for training and meetings, maintaining records, ensuring that proper video equipment is requested and support from Information Technology Service is secured.

• Performs duties related to providing Onboarding Support Service for staff at VANTHCS. These duties include working with the staff of the Nursing Education & Academia Support Service at VANTHCS for program planning, scheduling, implementation, evaluation and tracking of educational programs/activities and conducting New Employee Orientation Nursing (NEON).
• Serves as the primary point of contact for local users of the online learning system and responsible to keep up with all the meeting minutes, monthly newsletter for Nursing Education & Academia. Assist and monitors training of new nursing and academia administrators and serves as a superuser, as necessary.
• Provides audiovisual support for relevant programs and meetings, ensuring availability of functional equipment, reliable operation, and technical guidance to users at the point of program delivery.
• Assists the Program Specialist in developing and maintaining Nursing Academic Affiliations by preparing all affiliation and application documents for signature as directed. Maintains database of all current Nursing Academic Affiliations and WOC trainees and collects and analyzes data for the purpose of preparing various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Serves as Automated Data Processing Applications Coordinator (ADPAC) for Nursing Education & Academia Service. Keeps a database record of all equipment and EIL annually. Incumbent completes missing equipment reports annually to reconcile the equipment. Keeps Nursing Education & Academia Service personnel informed of important computer related issues.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide general office and to assist management in implementing program, publicity and marketing of library services. Shelves books, magazines, and other library materials ensuring all materials are re-shelved in correct order. Reviews the library collection to ensure library materials are maintained in correct order in their assigned areas. Checks condition of books in designated areas, removes obsolete/damaged materials for review by a librarian, and performs minor mending. Duties
1. This position will support the Federal Government's response efforts to COVID-19.
2. Performs hazard and risk assessment and conducts a complete incident analysis. Drives and operates firefighting vehicles, such as pumpers, aerial ladder trucks, and Airport Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles.
3. Performs crash-rescue and firefighting duties involving air traffic or support operations where hazardous conditions are such that the expectancy for fire is high and potential for becoming destructive is great.
4. Performs structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities, which may include large multistoried buildings, industrial areas, and/or base storage facilities. Performs rescue of personnel and a variety of first aid measures to alleviate further injury and prepare the victim(s) for transport to a medical facility.

Responsible for assisting in the organization, planning, implementation and evaluation of the following types of education programs: Adult Continuing Education, Literacy, General Education Development, English as a Second Language, parenting education, Post- Secondary Education, Occupational/Vocational education, special learning needs programs, release readiness, and leisure library and law library.

Frequently modifies and improves upon the existing programs and activities by updating course content and instructional methodology.

Makes periodic evaluations of academic and vocational programs, and keeps abreast of constantly changing developments.

Assists in determining program needs and establishing incentive programs and motivational techniques to meet the needs of a challenging and potentially resistant student population.
