Salary: Grade 3 Points 11 to 18
£26,339 to £29,783 per annum
(salary subject to pending job evaluation)
West Lothian College is looking to appoint a Learning Assistant in the Care, Health and Sport faculty. The learning assistant role will support the curriculum in that students will be supported to extend their learning through practical, non-assessed experiences and activities in the classroom and in the community. The learning assistant will also support students to engage in learning in lower level courses by working with lecturing staff to meet student needs in turn supporting retention and levels of success.

The post holder should be educated to HNC level or equivalent in a childhood practice related discipline. You should have knowledge, understanding and previous experience within this sector, with good organisational skills, the ability to prioritise effectively and be able to communicate well at all levels.
Those shortlisted will be required to prepare and deliver a 10-minute presentation and undertake a competency-based interview.
