What skills and experience we're looking for
Belmont Infant School is looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant with proven experience in working with young children schools to join our hard working and friendly team. The role involves supporting children in the classroom, including those with additional needs - the successful applicant needs to be flexible, relate easily to young children and adults and be willing to work in a team.
We are seeking to appoint an LSA who:
• Has a clear understanding and commitment to Belmont Infants’ approach to learning and its application in the classroom and outside;
• Demonstrates good classroom practice with high standards of teaching and learning;
• Ideally has experience of working in with children in a classroom;
• Is willing to participate in all aspects of school life, including sharing ideas and good practice with their team;
• Has a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team;
• Has the ability to think on their feet and use their initiative;
• Is motivated, passionate and reflective about their work.
Applicants must have GCSE grade 4/C or above in Maths and English.
