WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
To become a Learning Support Assistant in our SEN department, we need someone who is understanding, adaptable and committed.
The successful candidate will have the chance to acquire new skills and develop their abilities in a wide range of activities.

Although this position is centred on our Redditch campus, all applicants must be prepared to travel to our other campuses or surrounding areas as required.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

In summary, as someone who has Tolerance and the ability to work well with range of learners and colleagues. You will support in many aspects. To name a few:
To provide (through one to one and/or group work interventions) high quality learning support that enables learners to engage and achieve identified goals to aid their progression.
To provide support for the delivery of specialist foundation programmes which may include those for autistic spectrum conditions, mental health, emotional and behavioural difficulties, severe, moderate and mild learning difficulties and disaffected groups (NEET – Not in Employment, Education or Training) and students accessing mainstream courses, in need of additional support.
To ensure learners with support needs are fully engaged with student standards and to reinforce College attendance policies.

Learning Support Assistant Needed in Redditch for an Alternative Provision from January 2024!

Are you a supportive and dedicated LSA / Learning Support Assistant who can help young people develop their life skills?

Can you take direction from a class teacher and fully support them in delivering engaging lessons?

The school caters for students aged 11 - 16 with statements of SEMH and autism, as well as those under the care of the Local Authority. We are looking for LSA / Learning Support Assistants who can support students 1:1 and in small groups. The ability to be creative with lessons to engage students with various abilities is a must. You must be able to gain their trust and help them to develop essential skills for life beyond education.

The ideal Learning Support Assistant will ideally have:

• Level 3 NVQ qualification with SEMH experience.
• The ability to follow instructions set by the class teacher.
• Have a positive attitude towards teaching.
• The ability to build good relationships with the pupils who will need that extra support.
• Fantastic classroom management.
