For further information please contact: caley.hill@wales.nhs.uk / Joy.Rickwood@wales.nhs.uk Will provide day-to-day operational and strategic management to staff within the LD Arts Therapies Service, including authorising travel claims and annual leave requests. Will be responsible for the professional practice and standards of all Arts Therapists, Arts Therapies Specialist Support Workers, trainee Arts Therapists and volunteers on placement within the service. Will be responsible for the development, organisation and on-going review of the Arts therapies needs of adults with a learning disability and advising the Joint heads of Learning Disability Psychological Services, LDD Clinical Director and ABUHB Joint heads of Psychology, Counselling and Arts Therapies on appropriate provision to meet these needs. Lead on strategic development of the Arts Therapies/Psychotherapies ensuring this is consistent with the overall Learning Disability service through attendance at appropriate planning meetings within the Learning Disability Directorate. Will work with the Joint Heads of Psychological Services in the development of psychotherapeutic approaches for people with learning disabilities. Will contribute to, and participate in, working parties proposing service changes within Learning Disability services, providing advice around the Arts Therapies. Will manage autonomously a complex case-load using person centred and evidence based principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. Will be responsible for overseeing the placement and supervision (clinical and/or non-clinical) of students and volunteers working within the Arts therapies department. Will provide training and guidance pertaining to the Arts Therapies to other professionals and statutory bodies as required
