• Serves as the Deputy Director for the Plans, Training and Modernization Directorate of Distribution Operations, DLA Distribution, Defense Logistics Agency.
• Responsible for the creation and governance of the short- and long-term execution plans as well as contingency planning.
• Improves performance and mission through technology upgrades, coordination, development, and maintenance of logistical business and contingency plans to include supply chain integration, modernization of the network, and the training development.

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) II Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) practices in Mental Health (MH) to provide a full range of services emphasizing quality, timeliness, and the advancement of the Veterans Affairs (VA) mission. The PMHNP provides advanced clinical practice, consultation, and management. The PMHNP is a licensed independent practitioner with advanced education and national certification who provides evidence-based care for a population of patients. This position is also the PMHNP Residency Training Director, with duties commensurate for leading and growing the current PMHNP Residency Program (currently in the second year).

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Delivers evidence-based health care, demonstrating proficiency in the ability to manage a patient panel, population, or program.
• Uses advanced clinical judgment to independently provide evidence-based treatment to Veterans with acute or chronic mental illness including use of psychotropic medications, psychotherapy, and other modalities.
• Provides patient and family education on medical/MH conditions, preventive measures, and prescribed treatments.
• Demonstrates leadership and engages in collaboration with other MH and specialty care professionals while involving Veterans and their families (as appropriate), in treatment plan development.
• Assesses and adjusts the plan of care as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Counsels and treats patients with substance use disorders.
• Orders and interprets labs, tests, and diagnostic studies.
• Initiates referrals and consults to specialty services.
• Serves as the program manager of the Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Residency Program (MHNPR).
• Manages all administrative components of the MHNPR including trainee recruitment.
• Collaborates with executive leadership, academic partners, services leaders, other education programs, and trainees.
• Ensures program compliance with the VA Office of Academic Affiliation standards and accrediting bodies of affiliated institutions.
• All other assigned duties.

Associate Director of Administration for Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Training Programs - Georgetown University Medical Center

Job Overview

The Associate Director of Administration for Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Training Programs provides administrative, trainee, and academic support to three NIH-funded interdisciplinary T32 training programs – and to our multi-departmental Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience (IPN) PhD program, as well as post award administrative support of our training program activities and reporting requirements. As more training programs are funded in the future, the Associate Director of Administration will scale support services accordingly.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with recruitment and admissions; monitoring the academic progress of all program trainees; supporting alumni and career services outreach efforts; and organizing special events for program purposes.

As well, they serve as academic coordinator for the IPN PhD Program.

Work Interactions

Reporting directly to the Director of Graduate Studies for the Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience, the Associate Director of Administration for Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Training Programs is also assigned to faculty program directors of each T32 training program to support the execution of the program training and reporting activities.

They foster programmatic collaborations across the T32 training programs with the goal of developing consensus programming to meet training requirements across programs at scale; and collaborates with career development, student, and postdoctoral affairs functions within the Graduate and Postdoctoral Training and Development Division of Biomedical Graduate Education to integrate T32 training program requirements into institution-level support services and activities.

As well, they work closely with the Associate Director for the Office of Training Grant Support and Postdoctoral Development (OTGSPD) - which provides pre-award support to faculty directors – by assisting the integration of pre-award and post-award work and data flow processes to streamline competitive and non-competitive T32 application submissions.

Further, they work closely with the Biomedical Graduate Education (BGE) offices (admissions, academic affairs, student services, recruitment, career strategy, and communications), the Office of the University Registrar, and the Office of Global Services for day to day administration of the IPN program.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree – preference for a graduate degree in a STEM field
• 3 or more years of relevant administrative experience – preference for biomedical academic settings
• A collaborative and transparent leadership style, cultural awareness and agility, and the ability to build trust and credibility
• Experience working with diverse faculty, student, and trainee populations
• Demonstrated ability to work productively independently and as part of a team
• Excellent time management skills and experience managing multiple projects/tasks with conflicting deadlines

• Knowledge of research training programs and graduate students training
• Experience organizing events and programming for faculty and students

They support the Executive Director in the growth of Georgetown Law’s executive education programs by working closely with external stakeholders to determine their continuing education and professional development needs.

Work Interactions

Reporting to the Executive Director for Lifelong Learning, the Director of Program Development and User Experience works closely with the Program Management team and the OECLE Business Operations professional. They maintain a strong understanding of instructional design, adult education, and content delivery - as well as their proven ability to work with a wide range of constituent groups, and their commitment to developing inclusive learning environments.

Externally, they communicate directly with clients and potential clients, including but not limited to law firm leadership, government agencies, and think tanks - and as assigned, they provide occasional presentations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology or related field and 5 to 7years of experience - preference for Master’s degree and experience in a higher education setting
• Experience supporting faculty use of technology to further the instructional mission or first-hand use of a variety of instructional technologies
• Expertise in Mac and PC operation, web development, online conferencing, multimedia, presentation tools, and emerging technologies
• Experience in conducting both quantitative and qualitative user and program research and assessment, as well as aligning organizational strategy with delivery strategy - preference for experience with accessibility
