We are working with a large secondary school in Ellesmere Port who are seeking an experienced and professional Design and Technology teacher for a long-term post starting after Easter that will run into the new academic year.

The role is covering a full-time timetable with school hours of 8:30am to 3:30pm starting on the 15th April and will continue through until October half term at a minimum. This role is open to both ECT's and UPS teachers that think this role would be for them.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Under general direction, handle specialized information service with internal and external contact of Adult Education program. Responsible for the accurate and prompt transmittal of information concerning registration, student’s files, admission, financial aid, counseling for IET programs, reporting, and testing. Implements programs and services.  Works with Adult Education team, and
community partners in developing, and tracking project timelines.  Develop and report key metrics. Coordinate with other areas within the college on needs, training, and communication. May consult and advise the Director on the use of resources related to the Adult Education grant. Plans, conduct, and analyze research/information. Serve as liaison between Adult Education and the staff at the Career Source centers.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Develop and implement evaluation of activities carried out with funds under Adult Education, including evaluations necessary to complete the Integrated Educational Training Open Door Grant. 10%
• Conduct assessments and evaluate the need for support services. 10%
• Update, maintain and distribute reports to all Adult Education areas. 10%
• Maintain and update promotional materials for the Adult Education programs. 10%

JOB SUMMARY:

• The essential job functions and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
  Provides classroom, laboratory and clinical instruction and supervision of nursing courses. The faculty member serves as a professional nurse role model and as a liaison with health care agencies. Serves as an active participate in course development, delivery, and evaluation. Participates in faculty meetings for organizing and providing educational experience leading to student credentialing and gainful employment in nursing positions. Contributes to the recruitment and retention of students. • Developing and implementing the Nursing Programs, courses, and curriculum;
• Supervising assigned students in clinical within the scope of practice set forth by the Florida Board of Nursing;

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience in clinical nursing practice in an acute care setting;
• Current/active CPR certification;
• Two (2) years of teaching/clinical coordination experience with proficiency in instruction, experience in academic/clinical coordination;
• Instructional experience in nursing;
• Must have current knowledge of nursing to provide patient care safely and competently within the scope of practice set forth by the Florida Board of Nursing;
• Proficiency in the use of technology for classroom and clinical instruction;
• Proficiency in the use of technologies including but not limited to: distance education modalities, and Microsoft Office applications;
• Must meet the credentialing requirements set forth in IRSC’s credentialing manual;

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
