Assessor Trainer in Groundworks and Bricklaying, to join the Employer Training and
Apprenticeship team based at Gloucestershire College.

We will fully support you to complete your assessing qualification (CAVA) and by joining an experienced team, your colleagues will guide and coach you to develop into an experienced and successful assessor.

The Assessor Trainers role is vital to a learner’s successful completion of their
Apprenticeship Standard qualification. The role requires the assessor to work closely with the Employer, Learner and To develop and deliver materials as the Site Trainer to ensure delivery of training and work placed assessment of the learners aligns to the Standard Qualification they are completed. The Assessor Trainer will be supporting the learners in developing and applying their knowledge and skills they have learnt in the classroom. The Assessor Trainer will be required to develop Teaching and assessment materials using a range of Microsoft packages, such as word and PowerPoint to assist with their Teaching and assessment methods and practice.

As an assessor trainer, you will be planning assessment activity with the learner and employers, so all parties know what they need to achieve. Communicate this clearly, drive to employer’s premises/site of work to complete assessment and to support the learner with gathering their evidence of workplace. Provide supportive and constructive feedback and develop activities to support the learners in their production of a portfolio of evidence.

Supporting the Learner right through to their End Point Assessment Completion and
achievement of their qualification as A Ground Worker or a Bricklayer. The Assessor Trainer will need to be able to plan their diary, use a range of IT packages, and be ambitious for their learners and looking for opportunities for self-development.

CNC Turner Programmer

Gloucester

Working hours: Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm / Friday 7am - 12pm

Salary: £34,000 - £37,000 DOE

Our client has a team of 22 highly skilled precision engineering staff and addition to investment in the latest CNC machining technology. CNC Machining prototypes & batch production on the latest CNC vertical/horizontal machining centres and CNC lathes is at the heart of their business.

Duties:
⦁ Program CNC machines using CAD software and or cimco to create precise and accurate parts on Lathe's with live tooling.
⦁ Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications
⦁ Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
⦁ Collaborate with engineers and designers to optimize part designs for manufacturing

Qualifications:
⦁ Proficient in CAD software and cimco editor for programming CNC machines
⦁ Strong mathematical skills for performing calculations and measurements
⦁ Familiarity with Fanuc controls CNC machines
⦁ Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings
