Nursery Nurse Qualification:

• Level 2 or 3 Early years/ Nursery Qualifications

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To work as a member of a team to provide a safe, caring, stimulating environment for the children, in line with the EYFS.
• To provide a wide variety of activities for the children
• To ensure the maintenance of adequate standards of cleanliness and hygiene for the children attending the nursery. This includes changing nappies and toilet training (this maybe as some nurseries, not all)
• To undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. Cleansing of equipment etc and the cleaning of rooms. Ensuring the nursery is kept clean and tidy.
• To keep up to date with the Health and Safety at work Act.
• To assist with serving the children’s lunches, Respect Preferences, Adhere to Allergies
• To ensure that all policies/procedures and risk assessments are read, understood, and adhered to.
• To respect the confidentiality of all information received.

Salary:

Great rates of pay, earn up to £14 per hour including holiday pay.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To help, guide and support students, following their initial enquiry and interview, to choose the right course of study.
• To work with the Course Managers and Training agencies, to help co-ordinate the placing and visiting of students in work placement, or employment positions with companies.
• To work with managing agents to ensure that students are placed in a safe and suitable work situation where work based training can be clearly identified.
• To attend careers events, liaise with schools and work with managing agents, to promote recruitment for all automotive courses.
• Work with the Marketing teams and the Work Based Learning Management team to ensure that all-existing and new courses are marketed and promoted in the best interests of the college.
• To represent the Work Based Learning Team in promotional activities.
• To support industry by setting up and promoting bespoke training to meet industry needs, when required.
• To mentor individual candidates and monitor their academic and vocational progress.
• To liaise with company and other assessors to ensure that each candidate has the range of opportunities required for their competence assessment.
• To carry out formal NVQ assessments.
• To monitor the quality of training delivered by all training sub-contractors.
• To carry out formal progress reviews with individuals and their employers.

Essential Attainments

BACKGROUND TO THE POST

The Engineering Academy is part of the Land Based and Technology Enterprise Directorate. The Academy provides training and assessment for apprenticeships, workplace assessments, full and part time engineering courses from levels 1 to 3 and Higher Education at the college’s Trident, Leamington Spa, Pershore and Rugby Centres. The post holder will join the existing Engineering team and be responsible to the Technical Academy Manager for the area.

POSITION IN THE ORGANISATION

The post holder will be a member of the Engineering Academy and join the Welding and Fabrication Workshop delivery team at our Leamington Centre

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

✓ To help, guide and support students, following their initial enquiry and interview, to choose the right course of study.
✓ To develop the skills of students within the area of the workshop.
✓ To administer the oversee skills training in a classroom and workshop environment within the academy.
✓ To apply assessment procedures and methods.
✓ To prepare & set-up physical materials and equipment for workshop activities.
✓ To produce a preventative maintenance schedule and carry out such maintenance on all tools and workshop equipment.
✓ To order workshop equipment and materials in conjunction with the team leader.
✓ To maintain the workshop to current H&S standards.
✓ To attend team meetings.
✓ To assist in developing this area of work
✓ To assist in developing and applying a Lean philosophy within this area of work
✓ To ensure all students are aware of the Health & Safety Guidelines in the workshop
✓ To ensure student tracking is kept up to date.
✓ Monitor and report on student progress.

In order to support during busy exam periods, you may be asked to undertake exam invigilator duties. The College will provide training.

Your new company
A two-form entry primary school in Leamington Spa is looking for a Year 3 teacher to work from January 2025 for 2 terms until July 2025. Your new role
Your new job as a Year 3 teacher on a full-time basis from January 2025 will be to take on full class responsibility for a lovely bunch of children. You will be required to plan, mark and assess the children for the spring and summer term. This role, dependent on your requirements, could be paid on weekly timesheets or as a fixed-term contract.
You must be fully committed to fully imbedding yourself in to school life as well as attending staff meetings.
This role is suitable for ECT's as well as more experienced teachers and will be paid to scale from day 1.
