The ARMS unit will eventually serve 12 children with moderate learning difficulties in our purpose designed unit within the school.

The NCRF Infrastructure sits within Newcastle University and encompasses the Clinical Research Facility (CRF) at our Royal Victoria Infirmary site, the Clinical Ageing Research Unit (CARU) at our CAV site, the Dental CRF in our Dental Hospital and the Pediatric CRF which is co-located within our RVI site. We operate mainly as an outpatient facility with patients usually attending between Monday and Friday although occasional evening and weekend working is required as studies dictate. Ensure that the requirements of the research program are fulfilled, including: Performing data collection and processing of musculoskeletal imaging studies. This includes, but not limited to, the anonymisation and cataloguing of the imaging and clinical/patient/study participant data, and maintaining the database. Liaising with study participants regarding their taking part in the study for musculoskeletal screening and self-assessment questionnaires, continuing the study activities, reporting of results. Ensuring personal info relevant to the studies are received securely and processed in compliance with GDPR requirements.

You will be responsible for the HR functions of the Nursery setting, from recruitment, and induction through to ongoing leadership and management including supervision, training, development and performance management.
You will have the support of an experienced Head Office team, as required by you, including Area Manager, An Early Years Support Team, Head of Marketing, Financial Accounts Manager and IT Department to give you the tools and environment required to succeed.

The Nursery Manager is fully responsible for the Nursery's budgets and you will have the experience and skill set to manage the Nursery's budget to ensure profitability and business growth.

Some of your responsibilities as Nursery Manager will include:

To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education

To effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff

To ensure all policies, procedures and curriculum's are implemented and adhered to at all times

To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends

To effectively manage the budgets and occupancy levels

To implement an effective parent liaison programme, to be influential in developing strong links with parents

To manage all day to day operations of the nursery including sale and marketing, HR, quality and health and safety.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

NNEB, CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3

Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation

Knowledge of OFSTED standards

Excellent knowledge of the EYFS

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines

Good time management skills

Excellent communication skills

Strong people management skills

Knowledge and understand of equal opportunities / SENCO etc.

Previous relevant supervisory experience.

Excellent business acumen and the ability to successfully plan for, and manage the commercial success of the setting.
