WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Consults with and gathers information from Subject Matter Experts, employees, managers, and other instructors using surveys, interviews, and consultations.

• After reviewing and assessing, choose the most appropriate medium, which can include manuals, guides, online learning environments, eLearning courses, webinars, workshops, and other course materials. Review, proofread and edit materials for content, spelling, grammar, flow and content as appropriate.

• Design curriculum and deliver training via webinars, workshops, and group training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques.

• In this role, you should combine a strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and work well under pressure.

• Your goal will be to ensure that our training programs are engaging and run smoothly.

• You will be responsible for communicating with participants and vendors and assist with developing the most effective programs.

• You should always be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly and should respond to work situations with minimum guidance or direction.

• Handle logistics for in-person events including researching and booking venues, audio visual, food, accommodations, scheduling/wrangling presenters, obtaining presentations & reviewing, communications, day-of setup, support throughout. Be point of contact for vendors, presenters and guests. Ensure completion of and dissemination of materials including post-event follow-up
  surveys and communications.

• Manages projects including timelines, development of costs, development of content, audio and video recording, digitizing media, developing assessments, creating web animation, creating guides, creating online webinars and workshops, creating online courses.

• Keeping track of related expenditures, scheduling, integrating different systems and other equipment, enrolling employees, evaluating existing training programs, monitoring reports and feedback as needed. Managing and maintaining Learning Management System (LMS) and other learning storage software and locations.

• Support and mentor new employees while also monitoring and presenting employee performance and keeping track of employee attendance.

• You should also be a reliable problem-solver with strong project management skills.

• Evaluates emerging training technology and tools.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The professional registered nurse Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). This position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment planning intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients. This may include delegation of appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff including but not limited to RNs LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians. As a member of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) health care team this position participates in decision-making teaching leadership functions and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

All duties and responsibilities are expected to be performed in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care policy procedures standards of nursing practice state and federal regulations.

• Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses.
• Performs ongoing systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre – during – post hemodialysis treatment for assigned patients and documents in the patient medical record makes adjustments or modifications to treatment plan as indicated and notifies Team Leader Charge Nurse Supervisor or Physician as needed.
• Assesses collaborates and documents patient/family’s basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education to patients and family.
• Directs and provides in collaboration with direct and ancillary patient care staff all aspects of the daily provision of safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients.
• Administers medications as prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithm(s) and documents appropriate medical justification and effectiveness.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Serves as a resource for health care team participates in staff training and orientation of new staff as assigned.
• Ensures correct laboratory collection processing and shipping procedures are performed and reschedules missed or insufficient laboratory collections.
• Identifies expected outcomes documents and updates the nursing assessment and plan of care for assigned patients through collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Ensures patient awareness related to transplant and treatment modality options.
• Required to complete CAP requirements to advance.  
• Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

EDUCATION and LICENSURE:

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Entry level for RNs with less than 1 year of Nephrology Nursing experience in the last two years as a RN.

• Assist in developing and following the teaching plan to educate the patient and family regarding end stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet and medications.
• Assist with all emergency operational procedures.
• Administer intravenous medication in accordance with physician orders and state nurse practice laws.
• Perform and document pre, interim, and post treatment review of patient condition.
• Initiate basic CPR measures in the event of cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest, and respond to emergency situations related to dialysis treatment.

Technical:

• Safely operate all dialysis related equipment according to the proper procedures.
• Provide minor troubleshooting when necessary.
• Ensure a clean, safe and sanitary environment in the dialysis facility treatment area.
• Ensure all blood spills are immediately addressed according to FMCNA Bloodborne Pathogen Control Policies.
• Operate all emergency equipment effectively in accordance to the standard operation procedures.

Staff Related:

• Participate in staff meetings as scheduled.
• Assist in short term and long term patient care plan meetings.
• Acquire information and knowledge in current practice related to dialysis principals and technique by participating in scheduled in-service classes.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN)
• Current appropriate State licensure. 

• One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required.
• ICU experience preferred but not required.

Key Role:

Basic Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience in the military

• Experience serving on Army or Joint staffs

• Experience in exercise design, coordination, and execution, including events at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels

ROLE SUMMARY

The purpose of the Senior Director of Clinical Research role is to coordinate and lead the development of first in man (FIH), proof of mechanism (POM), proof of clinical activity (SoCA) and proof of concept (PoC) and dose ranging studies for novel biological and small molecule therapies in Neurology focused programs. 

• The Senior Director of Clinical Research will be responsible for the Phase 2, PoM and SoCA trial designs and implementation of the study in collaboration with Pfizer development operations and the project team to meet enrollment and study delivery timelines.  The clinical study lead will be the primary liaison for investigators who have enrollment or extraordinary protocol issues that require escalation and may need to conduct study site visits to ensure timely delivery of the study.
• The individual will be involved with a focus on clinical drug activities from discovery research through PoM, SoCA and PoC studies. They will be a key member on project teams to collaborate with Early Clinical Development (ECD) and ensure seamless transition of the new asset to the Pfizer Global Product Development (GPD) for Ph3 development.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Director of Clinical Research will develop a disease specific global network of potential investigators and key opinion leaders (KoL) for the new therapeutic before PoM, SoCA or POC trial conception to assist in trial design, as well as management and recruitment of study, analysis, interpretation and presentation of results. Design PoM, SoCA or POC studies in consultation with KOLs and Pfizer project team members (Stats, Clin Pharm, Regulatory, Operations, etc.).

• Develop the primary and secondary endpoints for efficacy and safety and contribute to the precision medicine and biomarker strategy as well as to the biostatistics analytic plan that is aligned with the transition target product profile.
• Sit on project teams from FIH/POM/SOCA through POC trial completion to ensure that clinical development strategies are in place, being implemented and are contributing to key development milestones, e.g., start-up and delivery of PoM, SOCA and PoC trials.
   
• Accountable for safety across the study, including regular review of safety data (including but not limited to serious adverse events) and response to safety issues.
• Provide leadership to the clinical function in preparation of critical documents, including but not limited to clinical protocol, clinical development plan, investigator brochure, statistical analysis plan and regulatory documents.
• Expand the culture of collaboration between the clinical team and partners in the Inflammation and Immunology Research Unit (I&I RU) (Discovery, Pre-clinical and Systems Immunology), Clinical Pharmacology and Bioanalytics, Statistics, and Research and Developments (PRD) teams by maintaining open communications and ensuring successful program transitions. Foster a transparent environment that encourages strong trust between teams, sub-teams, and leaders.
   
• Sit on project teams from FIH/POM/SOCA through POC trial completion to ensure that clinical development strategies are in place, being implemented and are contributing to key development milestones, e.g., start-up and delivery of PoM, SOCA and PoC trials.
   
• Accountable for safety across the study, including regular review of safety data (including but not limited to serious adverse events) and response to safety issues.

Develop effective collaborations with key PRD partners in design of POC studies and develop target clinical goals to benchmark success of POC and SoCA studies. 

Work on transition team with Late-stage development colleagues to analyze and interpret final POC clinical data in achieving study objectives and develop the phase 3 clinical strategy to support seamless transfer of the asset to the respective Phase3 team.

Establish relationships with external experts, consultants, opinion leaders, regulators and disease specific investigator networks.

The applicant will have the opportunity to participate in strategic assessment of I&I RU portfolio, and Business Development activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Requires MD or MD/PhD, neurology specialty required, but other specialists with experience in neurology clinical trials will be considered.

Technical Skills: Experience in generating hypothesis-driven research investigations.

Five or more years of experience in biopharmaceutical sponsored clinical research, with a minimum of two in neurology. Biopharmaceutical experience as a medical monitor and clinical lead across therapeutic areas is desirable.

Good understanding of relevant areas such as biostatistics, regulatory, clinical pharmacology, pre-clinical toxicology, pharmacogenomics and biomarker-based approaches.

Ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets.

Ability to operate with a sense of pace and urgency in matrixed project teams.

Exercises initiative in meeting goals and drives innovation in projects.
 

Demonstrated scientific productivity (publications, abstracts, etc.).

Good communication and presentation skills as well as proven scientific writing skills.

The Inflammation Therapeutic Area within Global Development is rapidly growing and in this vital role you will have an opportunity to shape this Therapeutic Area. This role will report directly to the Global Development Lead for a program. The position is US - Remote.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as clinical expert to provide clinical/scientific knowledge into the development, execution and communication of the global scientific/medical evidence plan for the indication(s).

• Provide oversight of LCM clinical development with input on global strategy
• Support cross-functional and global collaborations to integrate broad medical, regulatory, safety, scientific, and commercial access and value input into the development program(s)

• Participate and provide clinical input into safety and regulatory interactions

• Interpret and communicate clinical trial data

• Author/review CSRs, publications and regulatory submissions

  Develop key opinion leaders and make scientific presentation at advisory boards, key scientific meetings and external committee meetings as delegated by GDL

• Identify new clinical research opportunities

• Support in-licensing and out-licensing activities and partner relationships Support product lifecycle management for new indications as directed by Global Development Lead

• Provide clinical content input to materials to be used in Scientific Affairs as well as the Commercial Organization

• Approximate 10% travel may be require

• Potential managerial role, seeking and developing talent in past will be a plus

Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of the scientific method and clinical applications based on medical, scientific and practical rationale

• In-depth understanding of and proven success in how to conceptualize, design, and conduct complex, global clinical trials in all phases of development esp Ph2/3 registrational trials

• Medical knowledge in the relevant therapeutic area

• Sound scientific and clinical judgment

• Understanding of regulatory agency organization, guidelines, and practices and ability to negotiate with these groups

• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), FDA regulations and guidelines, and applicable international regulatory requirements

• Prior experience of regulatory interactions, authoring filing IND or BLA experience

• Understanding of new drug commercialization and business practices

• Understanding of resourcing and budgeting

Basic Qualifications:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

AND

2 years of clinical research experience and/or basic science research

Preferred Qualifications:

• MD plus accredited residency in relevant sub-specialty, board certified or equivalent.
• Three (3) or more years of clinical development experience and/or basic science research combined with clinical teaching and patient care activities.
• Clinical development experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company)
• Experience in development lifecycle management to include development strategy creation for large programs from early development, through late development and commercialization.
• Involved in filing activities as part of the moving the program through the development lifecycle.
• Key relationship development and collaboration with the expansive commercial and medical teams internal and external partners and key opinion leaders.
• Previous management experience of clinical development professionals

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $256,334. - $318,868.

It is the home of scientific research and innovation for the last 125 years, where we continually work to unlock the greatest potential of every animal.

This is a permanent part-time position working with calves.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: working safely and efficiently with calves, feeding calves, giving vaccinations and injections, power washing, general clean up, identifying illness in calves, data collection, and other duties as assigned. Employees will be required to be fitted for a half-mask respirator.

Required qualifications/competencies:

• High school diploma or GED
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Basic computer skills
• Work on your feet for 5+ hours at a time

Preferred experience:

• Animal care experience, livestock preferred
• Ability to operate skid steer preferred.

Shift: A combination of these shifts in a given week- you will be notified of your schedule 2 weeks in advance.

PT: 1st shift is 6am – 11am & 2nd shift is 4:30pm – 7:30pm

Some weekends and holidays required.

Hourly Rate: $17.00
