Clinical Duties: As a community practitioner, you will be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of the post holders own non-clinical activity. To record and maintain up to date, accurate written reports as per Trust, Departmental and NMC Standards and Policies and to provide information regarding activity as required by the Service. Research and Audit: To undertake evidence based audit and user feedback projects to further improve their and the Teams practice. To contribute to the continuing development of clear evidence-based treatment pathways by attending relevant nursing forums and in-service training. To undertake as directed the collection of data for use in service audit and research projects. Education mental health practitioners (EMHPs) work across education and healthcare to provide mental health support for children and young people in schools and colleges.



An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) within the Halton Mental Health Support Teams in schools service. In line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the EMHP role is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people.

Successful candidates will be employed on a full-time basis based within Warrington and will play a key role as member of the Warrington Mental Health Support Team. The post holder will support the clinical research team across a range of research data administration tasks including but not limited to maintaining research databases; supporting the set up and maintenance of a new project portfolio management platform for research; assisting with the provision of data for performance reporting both within and external to the organisation; raising requisitions and purchase orders to support the management of research grants hosted by the Trust in accordance with relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Trust policies.

Support the set up and maintenance of a new project portfolio management platform for research.



Raising requisitions and purchase orders to support the management of research grants hosted by the Trust.



Providing administrative support to the research governance working group and R&I assessment panel triaging and review processes.



Assist the clinical research delivery team with the timely set-up of studies, including the development of worksheets to capture relevant source data and information.



Support the clinical research delivery team by utilising RiO reporting functions and working with the Trust performance team to identify suitable patients for entry into research studies.



Ensure completion of study related training (e.g. data entry training, GCP training and protocol specific training) prior to commencing activity on the study.



Ensure timely and accurate entry of data and relevant information into appropriate database systems.



Proactively follow-up on missing or unclear data and raise any ongoing issues relating to data quality with line management or the appropriate Principal Investigator.



Ensure that study documentation is maintained appropriately and that an audit trail exists. Contribute to the recording and storing of information, ensuring it is securely held, accurate, complete and legible and can be promptly retrieved when required.



Assist with the maintenance of patient care records, uploading relevant clinical information onto RiO where required.



Support the clinical research delivery team with preparation for audits and external inspections.



General research-related communication in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations.



Assist clinical trial monitors in site visits, with the accurate monitoring of study data.



Liaise with study teams regarding the provision of information on local targets such as accrual figures, recruitment statistics and query resolution rates.



Ensure recruitment accruals are uploaded to the Local Portfolio Management System.



Monitor and report on Trust performance against nationally agreed research initiation and delivery targets to the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).



Assist with document archiving at the end of the study, following Trust procedures.
