The Opportunity
The School of Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a permanent Lecturer in Pharmacology.
The School of Life Sciences is currently expanding its research and teaching portfolio in the field of pharmacology. This expansion will build on our existing strengths in biochemistry, structural biology, and the growing success of the Keele Centre for Glycosciences. The development of our pharmacology research and teaching activities will be further supported by collaborations with colleagues in the Schools of Chemical and Physical Sciences and Pharmacy & Bioengineering, as well as cross-faculty collaborations with the Keele School of Medicine and the Harper & Keele Veterinary School.
The successful candidate will work within our School of Life Sciences’ teaching teams and play a key role in the development and delivery of the school’s new pharmacology undergraduate and postgraduate courses. We are looking for a scientist with a background in pharmaceutical research who has a genuine love for teaching, a capacity for innovation, and strong collaborative ethic.
You should have a Ph.D. in a pharmacology-related field and experience of delivering teaching in Higher Education. You will be able to incorporate your knowledge and experience of pharmacology into exciting learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students. We welcome applications from candidates with academic or industry backgrounds.
