An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Community Learning Disability Nurse to join the busy Swansea Community Learning Disability Health Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Learning Disability or Registered Mental Health Nurse who share our health board values of caring for each other, working together and always improving.
The post holder will work in partnership with service users, primary health care and learning disability services to improve access and uptake of health checks for people with learning disabilities in the Swansea area. Utilising the Health Equality Framework the post holder will contribute to the development, maintenance and evaluation of systems and structures, which promote the rights, responsibilities and diversities of people with a learning disability, through effective communication.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small clinical caseload, and will liaise with both Social & Healthcare professionals to meet client need. The post holder will promote the health and well-being of clients by providing specialist nursing assessment and advice and training to clients, carers and other professionals.
