Sr. Software Development Engineer - Surgical Robotics (Cambridge, MA)

Your role:
Work on a collaborative, interdisciplinary, and experienced medical robotics R&D team, tasked with inventing and launching the next generation of medical solutions for Philips’ Image Guided Therapies business.
Architect and implement prototype and production-quality software solutions to develop a novel medical robot system in an FDA-regulated environment.
Focus on robot system software infrastructure and multi-arm robot control algorithm implementations.
Participate in or lead software design discussions and code reviews (both internal and multi-functional) for robotic solutions and workflows; and follow quality & regulatory processes (ISO13485, IEC 62304).

You're the right fit if:
You’ve acquired 5+ years of professional experience developing software for medical devices and preferably for medical robots.
Your skills include C++, Python; experience in hands-on design and development and troubleshooting of embedded software, and hardware-in-the-loop systems; implementing signal processing algorithms; developing multi-process integrated applications; using Unit Testing and software Verification and Validation processes; developing real-time software applications on RTOS; in robotic control system design, integration, debugging, verification, and testing is a bonus
You have a MS, or PhD, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Office/Remote position. Lift/carry equipment of up to 10lbs; travel for Business as needed for testing with customers and require vendor credentialing; work in an office/lab on regular basis; wear all required personal protective equipment.
You’re a self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills; and a strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges. You enjoy a high-paced professional and environment but also including significant individual contributions, as well as team collaboration using agile methodologies. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface in a cross-disciplinary manner, including engineers, product managers, and clinical specialists.
