What You Will Achieve
As a member of the Pfizer team, your role will be accountable for activities involved in the design and development of manufacturing processes for products, taking into consideration problems inherent in the transfer of technology from research to manufacturing. Such design and development may include new or revised processes. Your work will help develop procedures for the economical mass production in cooperation with pilot-plant and production departments. You and your team will conduct tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables; and service, troubleshoot and solve production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation.
As a Senior Manager, your advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts in the discipline and comprehensive knowledge of other disciplines will enable you to lead complex projects across the division. Your experience in project management will be used while reviewing status of projects and budgets, managing schedules and preparing status reports, developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality and client-satisfaction goals. Your ability to develop and manage plans will facilitate in achieving objectives, interpreting internal and external business challenges and recommending best practices for improvements. While managing complex project environments, you will be able to anticipate and troubleshoot roadblocks and influence teams to achieve targets for the division.

How You Will Achieve It
Develop ideas and lead/co-lead complex projects across operating unit.
Communicate to key stakeholders in a timely manner on source changes, technical transfers or Cost Improvement Projects project plans / timelines resource / time constraints, scheduling conflicts.
Responsible for project budgets and reporting to Program Team, Asset Team and associated Business Unit.
Engage contract manufacturers participating in key activities ensuring Pfizer’s strategy is understood and resources are in place to support execution.
Responsible to ensure that appropriate process control strategy is in place across unit operations (including trending, review and action plans – as needed).
Develop and deliver Co-Development Plan for endorsement (includes key strategies for Ph3 readiness, Process Understanding / RFT, ICH / PV and BLA/MAA filing).
Responsible for project budgets and reporting to Asset Team and associated Business Unit.
Drive alignment across stakeholders on technical strategies and priorities identified in Technology Lifecycle Plan.
Lead launch teams and operations sub- teams to develop strategy and tactical supply plans for the commercialization of new Pfizer products while assuring a global focus.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Bachelor’s Degree and 7+ years of experience.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a team environment across business functions.
Independent, self-motivated and flexible with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, problem-solving environment.
Nice-to-Have
Master’s degree and 10+ years of relevant pharmaceutical experience.
Experience in problem-solving, negotiations, presentation and supervision of a
multi-layered organization, including understanding of DAMIC (six sigma) tools and practices and a focus on continuous improvement.
Broad knowledge of technology transfer process and manufacturing for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients; Good technical understanding of pharmaceutical processes and the impact of technical change.
Demonstrated experience and competence in organizing, planning and problem solving related to qualifying new API suppliers.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
Other job details
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
