Title:
Electrical Engineer
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer (3+ years of experience) to support the KBR Team in Lexington Park, MD. In this role, you will be part of a specialized team in Electromagnetic Environment Effects (E3) testing, where KBR supports a multitude of customers in the test and evaluation of aircraft, weapon systems, prototypes, and other equipment to determine their reliability when subjected to different electromagnetic environments. E3 encompasses all electromagnetic disciplines, including electromagnetic compatibility, electromagnetic interference, electromagnetic vulnerability, electromagnetic pulse, electronic protection, hazards of electromagnetic radiation to personnel/ordnance/fuel, and even natural phenomena, such as lightning and static precipitation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Applies E3 engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate Naval airborne platforms, weapons, and avionics.
- Attends preliminary, critical and other design reviews to ensure E3 requirements are properly defined and implemented.
- Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
- Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, qualification testing, or acquisition and resource management.
- Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, and evaluates automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military systems, associated support systems, or management informational systems.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
Clearance: Must have an active or current D.O.D Secret Clearance
Education: BS or BA degree in Engineering or Physics.
Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in an E3 engineering position.
Contract requirements regarding education and experience will prevail.
