Mechanical Engineer

Salary : £41,008 per annum (Inclusive of Shift Allowance), with further salary progression to £45,043 per annum (Inclusive of shift allowance) once fully competent

Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking a Mechanical engineer to join our client's Operations team in Hartlepool . You will provide first-line technical expertise to manufacturing areas to ensure maximum availability of mechanical equipment. You will have worked on plant equipment previously.
You will execute planned maintenance tasks effectively, working through the task schedule in order of priority.
As part of the role, the Mechanical engineer will be responsible for suggesting and implementing improvements to process control systems, ensuring that any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and that repairs are robust enough to prevent a recurrence. You will provide first line technical expertise and assistance to the Manufacturing areas to minimise plant downtime.
What you will need
The Mechanical engineer must have a Mechanical apprenticeship, ideally gained in an industrial environment and also have experience of working effectively within a team. You should have a systematic problem solving approach (accurate problem description, ability to rank potential causes in order and communicate next step activities).
Our client is looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, with good interpersonal skills and an ability to articulate efficiently with a range of individuals on site.
