As the Mobile A/C and Refrigeration Engineer you will be responsible for the planned, reactive, servicing and minor install works on air conditioning and refrigeration systems on a portfolio of commercial properties.

The ideal candidate will a relevant qualification such as F-Gas and/or NVQ Level 2 (as a minimum) and previous experience in a similar role.

Refrigeration Engineer

As part of the manufacturing team, the Refrigeration Engineer will be required to carry out assembly of refrigeration components, pipework installation, pressure testing, refrigeration charging, testing and commissioning of a variety of HVAC & Refrigeration equipment. They will follow work pack instructions and technical drawings to our high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical fitting of components.
• Carry out pipefitting.
• Carry out brazing.
• Carry out pressure testing.
• Evacuate system and charging systems.
• Carry out leak testing.
• Commissioning and services of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment.
• Carry out refrigerant recovery.
• Installation of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
• Completion of work pack documentation in line with work pack instructions.
• Cleaning and packaging of units for dispatch.
• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Requirement

• SVQ/NVQ III or Apprenticeship in relevant discipline (or equivalent experience)
• F-Gas 2079 Category 1
• Abrasive Wheels
• CompEX Certification
• BS7671 Wiring Regulations

Experience

• Previous experience working as an apprentice refrigeration engineer
• Computer literate in Microsoft office packages
• Experience of Communicating technical requirements of the role with the line manager.

This position is Monday to Thursday 8-4pm and Friday 8-2pm with a salary of £35,000 p/a

HVAC Project Design Engineer

We are currently working with a fantastic client who is looking for a HVAC project engineer who will provide design, draughting and engineering support to the project managers in executing and delivering projects to clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed design, calculations and project drawings
• Specify and select materials, components and equipment
• Assist with the preparation of project documentation, technical files and work packs
• Contribute to integrated safety when reviewing engineering designs and ensuring all technical and design risks are identified to meet project requirements
• Ensure high standards are maintained in terms of client liaison, both verbally and by email
• Create specifications, co-ordinate procurement of materials and ensure delivery to client
• Where required, travel to installation sites and review/rectify any issues arising between client and company
• Carry out regular design and project reviews
• Analyse and evaluate quotations
• Control project costs
• Liaise with clients and suppliers
• Where required, travel to client premises.

Experience and requirements

• ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Competency in CAD MEP 3D modelling software
• Computer literate in Microsoft Packages
• Knowledge of HVACR discipline and systems
• Background in a Mechanical/HVAC environment

Manufacturing Design Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a manufacturing and design engineer whose main focus is to design and engineer piping systems, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment and engineered packages for in-house manufacture within the oil & gas, petrochemical and marine industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Project planning, cost control and daily management of allocated in house manufacturing projects.
• Detailed design including design calculations, refrigeration system design and fabrication design and specification of components.
• Creation, checking and approval of documentation, drawings, data sheets, work packs and user manuals etc.
• Selection of equipment and checking compliance with relevant specifications and requirements.
• Compiling Material Take Off spreadsheets for procurement of materials and components.
• Liaising with clients both during and post project.
• Providing engineering support for the Operations Manager - Manufacturing.
• Responsible for ensuring products are designed and manufactured in compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, directives, regulations and company processes.
• Participate in company competence and performance management procedures

Requirement and experience

• HNC/HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or other HVAC relevant engineering discipline
• Comprehensive knowledge of Mechanical and/or HVAC engineering environment
• Demonstrable previous experience of mechanical or electrical engineering design
• Demonstrable previous experience in manufacturing capacity
• Demonstrable experience in design, drawings and calculations
• Experience in oil, gas and renewables industry
• Computer literate in all Microsoft packages

• Carry out regular design and project reviews.
• Order materials and equipment.
• Analyse and carry out technical bid evaluation of supplier proposals.

• Maintain project files and produce document packs.

Essential requirements

• Educated to HNC in mechanical engineering
• Previous experience working within HVAC

This role is Monday to Friday 9-5 with flexibility when going offshore paying £55000 P/A
