Domestic Gas Engineers required for large housing maintenance specialist with lots of work in SE London. Suitable candidates must be competent with breakdown and servicing on all domestic gas boilers.

There is a requirement for all of the engineers in the team to cover call out. This is 1 day per week, every week and rolling ( including weekend days). Out of hours are 24hr, however after 10pm will only be for major water leaks. These are paid at £40 incomplete and £50 for completions. Overtime works at 1.5 hour rate travel to job and time to complete. There are also opportunities for training and development.

Suitable Gas engineers must hold domestic ACS qualifications for CENWAT, CCN, CKR,HTR. Qualifications in OFTEC or LPG are also desired but not essential.

• Coordinates and supervises the planning, design and construction of engineering practices such as water management, animal waste management erosion control, flood control, and other conservation practices needing engineering guidance.

• Designs and supervises the design of complete engineering practices and structures involved in Agency programs.
• Determines engineering training needs for various field office personnel.
• Coordinates with engineering specialists in performing NRCS quality reviews of conservation practices.

A Local Authority based in North London is currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis offering hybrid working at an hourly rate of between £30 - £40 per hour Umbrella LTD (£24 - £31 per hour hour PAYE)

The purpose of the role is to support the Structural Engineering Manager in the delivery of cost effective, customer focused Building Control Services - including taking responsibility for service wide and area based initiatives that support continued improvement in the quality, cost and effectiveness of the service to support delivery of the outcomes in the corporate plan. To support as directed, the implementation of corporate and workforce development programs within the team and follow and promote corporate governance and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Inspecting, monitoring and reporting on remedial works necessary to defective building structures including carrying out necessary repairs such as underpinning, strengthening etc.
• Checking of structural elements of Building Regulations and Entertainment licensing as required under the Building Regulations and associated legislation.
• Carrying out design and site investigations for all new works and refurbishment projects.
• Inspection of Highways Structures and reporting thereon. Arranging maintenance and renewal/strengthening works as necessary.
• Prepare production drawings using Autocad software.
• Making period visits to the site as necessary to inspect the progress and quality of the work to determine if the work is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Membership of a relevant professional organisation
• Knowledge of structural engineering practice and procedures, the design and construction process, Health and Safety, including CDM, quality management systems, fee management, project programming and resource planning.
• Knowledge of working drawings, including design for bridge and building structures (including monitoring and repair of structural defects).

A client within the Public Sector based in Lancashire is currently recruiting for Highways Engineer to join their major transport team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, contract position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to be involved in developing and delivering highway schemes and associated engineering activities within the multi-disciplinary Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery Team.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• play a prominent role in the development and delivery of transport infrastructure schemes of varying size and scale.
• identify challenges within transport infrastructure and design solutions, working independently on some schemes and assisting the Team Leader on larger schemes.
• work closely with colleagues in the group throughout scheme development, including optioneering, conceptualisation, feasibility, design, approvals, procurement, and construction phases.
• be responsible for preparing project documentation, including drawings, schedules, cost estimates, tender and contract documents.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require to have in-depth knowledge and relevant experience of the design, documentation, and related legislation of various infrastructure components across

highway projects.

It will be essential to be in experiences in the below:

• proficient with a range of industry standard computer aided tools software including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Select and implement appropriate industry standard design specifications, codes of practice and guides to design new and improved highway layouts and facilities in urban and rural settings

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £27 p/h - £35 p/hUmbrella Ltd. (approx. £22 -£28 p/h PAYE)

About the role

The Principal Engineer is responsible for the management of the relevant service within Highway and Transport and to provide specialist professional advice relevant to your team's area of responsibility. Job Purpose

• To progress and secure the effective project management of assigned projects through relevant stages from conception through to implementation and monitoring.
• To undertake the role of Project Manager for large, complex and multi-disciplined projects including consultation, programming, planning and coordination.
