Job Description & Requirements:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Engineer specializing in Electronic Access Control and CCTV Systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining various access control and surveillance devices. The Assistant Engineer will work both independently and collaboratively, ensuring the successful implementation of electronic security solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of Access Control Devices:Card Readers
Request to Exit Buttons (REX)
Motion Sensors
Maglocks
Electric Door Strikes
Access Control Panels
- Installation of CCTV Systems:Analog & IP Cameras
Power Supplies
DVR Recording Units
Cable Pathway Systems
- Cable Installation and Management:Various cables, including twisted pair, coax, power-limited tray cable, stranded cable, and solid conductor low-voltage cable.
Placement, termination, testing, labeling, and documentation of cables.
Dressing and routing cables into closets and control rooms.
- Programming:Program Access Control Panels and Systems.
Install and program DVR Recording Units.
- Safety and Compliance:Maintain a safety-conscious work environment.
Firestop various cable penetrations.
Ability to carry heavy loads and climb ladders as needed.
- Flexibility:Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends as and when required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of Electronic Access Control and CCTV Systems.
- Technical proficiency in programming Access Control Panels and DVR Recording Units.
- Familiarity with various types of cables and cable management systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to carry heavy loads and climb ladders.
- Comfortable working in various environments and schedules.
Other Duties:
- Perform additional duties as required in support of the overall project goals.
