My client is currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer in the Doncaster area

This is to work for a well known contractor carrying out sheet pilling, king post walls involving rotary bored and DTHH rock drilling techniques. Based at the Doncaster office but expected to travel to various sites UK wide carrying out RAMS.

This will be for a minimum of 4 months but is expected to be long term

£350-£400 a day outside IR35 or CIS. When traveling to other sites accommodation & a vehicle will be provided

• Experience working with major contractors

• CSCS
• Triple STS

A main contractor is recruiting a Senior Site Engineer to deliver a highways project in Barnstaple, North Devon. The business delivers projects across the UK in highways and infrastructure for governing bodies and private sector clients with the additional security of long-term frameworks in the local area.

Senior Site Engineer duties include:

• Support the engineering team with solutions to technical challenges
• Writing risk assessments and method statements
• Manage quality assurance documentation
• Assist in production and integration of 3-week programmes
• Manage designs from the inhouse and external designers
• Support the project team with construction methodology and sequencing
• Demonstrate value engineering throughout the construction process
• Managing RFI's and Technical Queries

This Role is a CIS assignment, and the successful candidate will join an enthusiastic long term project.

They are presently looking to appoint, on a long term contract basis, a Site Engineer / Senior Engineer to work initially on a large highways project in the Barnstaple area of Devon

This self-delivery project is valued at circa £60m and comprises bulk earthworks, highway construction, drainage, utilities, S278 works etc.

Due to the nature of the project there will be ample opportunity for day, nights and weekend work.

The project is scheduled to run for another 8+ months.

Duties include:

• Setting out roads, earthworks, and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Manage all engineering activity providing direction to the direct workforce and subcontractors
• Quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
• Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
