Aufgabenbeschreibung

• Erstellung der Simulationsmodelle für Air Supply System im Einklang mit der Gesamtsimulation des Brennstoffzellen-Systems

• Spezifikation und Validierung von Simulationsmodellen der Zulieferer

• Untersuchung und Optimierung von Architekturen und Entwicklung der dazu gehörigen Modelle

• Aufbau vom Austausch von Modellen mit Zulieferern im Einklang mit der Gesamtsimulationsumgebung

• Koordinierung von Projektressourcen

• Management externer System- und Komponentenlieferanten

Erforderliche Qualifikation

Erforderliche Fachkompetenz

We are looking for a Senior Engineer System Safety (m/f/d) with aerospace background to support our safety engineering team in Germany. You will ensure that Airbus products are developed and designed according to the relevant airworthiness regulations and that safety objectives are achieved throughout the whole lifecycle. You are interested in assessing complex functions through Aircrafts and Systems analyses. You are investigating the propagation of potential malfunctions and the resulting repercussions on the aircraft and its occupants and you are defining mitigation means and design precautions.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Performing System Safety Assessment activities for aircraft systems, supporting the phases during and after certification

• Generating and update of assessments (Functional Hazard Assessment/System Safety Assessment) of intended design modifications to influence the system architecture according to the required System Safety/System Integrity

• Perform safety analysis of in-service events and support the continued airworthiness process

• Performing Risk Analyses, according to the applicable guidance and standards, which are required to support the continuous aircraft development (including Permit to Fly/Type Certificate)

• Performing analyses of Common-Cause (Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis and Common Mode Analysis)

• Determine the particular Safety requirements for system developments or modifications with respect to hardware and software

• Manage input from and output to interfacing technical domains and technology (processes, maintenance, human error, aircraft performance and quality, etc.)

• Review, approval and application of supplier data regarding Safety and Reliability Generating the System Safety Assessment documentation, based on traceable results and evidence, as mandatory proof to acquire the Type Certificate

Desired skills and qualifications

• You have a completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent

• For this position, you bring appropriate knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility

• Knowledge/understanding of Aircraft systems

• Comprehensive System Safety Assessment experience and advanced knowledge of Safety processes, regulations and guidelines (ARP 4761, ARP 4754A)

Position Summary

The EMEA Supplier Quality and Development Engineer plays a key role in the success of the Regal Rexnord Global Supply Chain Management (SCM) function in Europe. This position is responsible for deploying both strategic and tactical Supplier Quality and Development initiatives across the global supply base for the Enterprise. This position will manage Supplier Quality and Development activities on sourcing projects and supply chain optimization efforts utilizing technical knowledge and quality engineering expertise to meet/exceed project goals and milestones. In addition, this position is also responsible for providing quality and technical support in managing Supplier Development projects including continuous improvement using Six Sigma and Lean tools.

Job responsibility includes evaluation and assessment of supplier capability, capacity, stability and risk to enhance both the current and new supply base to meet or exceed Regal Rexnord’s supplier performance measures. This function participates in the establishment and deployment of standardized processes, policies & procedures, taking the necessary steps to assure continued compliance. This individual demonstrates strong technical skills in the execution of supplier manufacturing process improvements, supplier quality systems, best practices and advanced quality problem solving. The successful candidate must possess and demonstrate influential leadership to guide, mentor, and support the development of others by transferring skill, knowledge, and experience that enhances their capabilities. This position will report to the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain, EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Analyze audit results to develop, prioritize and execute corrective actions and Supplier Development Plans to continually improve supplier performance.
• Lead and drive supplier quality activities such as APQP, PPAP, corrective/preventive actions including continuous improvement techniques to help suppliers minimize process variation and achieve desired process control including desired Regal Rexnord performance metrics.
• Significantly contributes on technical quality issues collaborating with both internal stakeholders and suppliers on cost reduction sourcing projects and strategic supply chain optimization initiatives.
• Lead supplier quality and development activities that will refine and improve quality of the product and process as measured by supplier performance metrics, internal plant quality metrics and external quality indicators.
• Maintain, monitor and support accurate reporting of supplier metrics from the EMEA manufacturing facilities.
• Support problem identification and resolution of systemic supplier quality issues to deliver stakeholder expectations and enhance end-user customer satisfaction.
• Provide support in establishing and implementing standardized quality best practices, processes and procedures within the supply chain function and across suppliers.
• Leads and educates suppliers in the application of advanced quality tools and problem-solving methodologies while providing support as a technical mentor and coach to internal stakeholders.
• Utilizes internal functional customer feedback as an input to drive continuous improvements across Regal Rexnord’s supply chain.
• Utilizes self-assessment and feedback from stakeholders while actively seeking out opportunities to address self-development needs to grow and develop credibility.

Experience and Skill Required

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and minimum of 5+ years of proven Supplier Quality or a mixture with Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, advanced degree preferred.

• Knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment, castings or forgings with foundry experience is desired.
• Familiar with a variety of manufacturing processes, practices, and procedures.
• Strong expertise and demonstrated use of quality tools and principles such as Six Sigma, APQP, PPAP, PFD, FMEA, PCP, MSA and SPC.
• Proven success in the use and mentoring of Problem-Solving methods, Root Cause analysis and Statistical decision-making including application knowledge of Minitab.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to thoroughly analyze, interpret data / information to make sound informed decisions.
• Strong experience in project management which includes planning, supervising, monitoring, and accomplishing the goals of specific project requirements.
• Working knowledge of Supplier QMS assessment, ISO 9001, TS16949 and AIAG CQI technical process audits with experience performing Supplier audits.
• Experience in metrology, inspection and measurement techniques and new product development processes.
• Proficient in MS Office and other software applications including ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and mindset to drive continuous improvement.
• Ability to work with all levels of Rexnord organization in a team-based matrix organizational structure including Regal Rexnord supply base.
• Ability to lead the organization in embracing quality change and communicate the value and need for change.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to identify self-development needs and explores new opportunities for career advancement, skill development and professional growth.
• Quality/Engineering certification is highly preferred, Six Sigma or other professional society / organization certification is a plus.
